There are spots on the sun reading

I got my first reading! TheLegendaryBillCipher thought my story was worth doing an audio reading for on his youtube channel, Rainbow Infinity. It's hard to put into words how flattered I am to see (or hear, in this case) one of my stories get adapted to audio format.

Home or Hearth cover art, feedbacked version!

Version 2 of Home or Hearth's cover, now 20% cooler. Special thanks go to The Wind King for the feedback!

Now to get back to finishing the next chapter...

Cover art for Home or Hearth

So I finally took the time to sit down with Photoshop for a bit to coble together a cover for Home or Hearth. Not sure if I pinned down the conflict Sunset is feeling, so I figure a little feedback round could come in handy. Tell me what you folk feel:

That’s really cool looking, I think it illustrates what Sunset is supposed to feel well.

Sunset's expression is good. The only thing that bothers me is her legs.

Good job overall though :)

I think you captured Sunset's feelings very well in this image. Very well done!

I quite like it myself... her expression and the composition of the different elements add up to a good design, my my view.

That's actually show accurate, but I can see how it looks awkward from this angle.

Sunset's expression being a mix of longing and fear is nice, and the Mirror showing CHS is a good touch, the rest of the background however, is a tad too busy. Especially the space between Sunset's head and the right edge of the Mirror's frame.

You could feasibly shift Sunset and the Mirror slightly further apart, and use that space for the title, rather than the big brown logs and the bright glowy purple energy.

Hmm, yes I see what you mean. Looks like I'll have to isolate the mirror from Twilight's attachments to reduce the clutter. That'll take a bit longer to hammer out, especially rebuilding the shelves behind them, but it'll be worth it.

The fact that it’s unicorn Sunset looking back uncertainly on the human world is, I think, just the image this story needs. It’s the opposite situation of many images with human Sunset thinking of Equestria, and that’s kind of neat.
