More bloody van troubles. · 11:47pm Jan 26th, 2018
I may have mentioned that last fall I had to have my business van's transmission rebuilt, at a cost of $2000, van rental and associated costs of $600, a loss of $700 in booth fees and an unknown loss of income right before my dead time.
Well, this weekend I'm back in Birmingham- the city where it broke last time- for KamiCon, and it's doing distinctly worrisome things. I'm hoping that one simple, cheap fix will take care of it, once I get back.
I'm really hoping it because my transmission shop would rather not see the van back. They definitely did NOT say this out loud, but attitude and hints suggest they will say, "You overloaded it, so we're not honoring the repair warranty," should I take it back to them.
The fact is, I need a replacement van. I should have got it back in October, but I was hoping the repair would be enough to get me by another year or two on this van. That might not be the case.
So, in addition to the Patreon and Ko-Fi above, I point you to my GoFundMe.

And in the meantime I'm going to sell stuff at KamiCon and try to find time to write more words about pony ponies ponying space things.
https://www.gofundme.com/help-keep-wlp-on-the-road or http://gf.me/u/gfv3wp would be better links. The one you shared seems to be an internal link for your use, and it directs users to a login page rather than to the campaign.
Good luck! (I'd donate, but I'm mostly broke)

suggestion, get like a school bus they are really powerful and big and only cost like 1000 dollars, you'd just have to paint it.

they don't require any more than a class b non cdl license and it really shouldn't be that hard to get... it would at least be cheaper than buying a brand new van... I think. Also then you could rent out space if you wanted too. And live in it when your at the event.
sort of like a really cheap RV. also the space renting would somewhat counteract the gas cost.
