Hey guys! I know it takes me awhile to post another chapter but I got stuck, plus I was dealing with midterms as well so.... sorry?
But anyway... I'm stuck, should I give the other girls of the mane6 a spotlight like having Pinkie Pie get a Pinkie sense about whats going to happen and drag AJ and Dash into her preparations or.... start the altered NM scene? Please give me your ideas and prompts and maybe you will be a honorable mention- give credit when credits due and all. oh, and possible head-cannons are welcome.
I have no clue how many are actually going to read this....

Pinkie and AJ I can see having reactions to things that might be interesting. I'm not sure I can see any way Dash as noticing anything but then again I don't have a good opinion of her so it is hard for me to objective in that regard.

Thank You for your input! Can you say what reactions you imagine Pinkie and AJ to have? I need ideas to get my muse to hit me with a 2by4 of inspiration. Ive been trawling on Tumbler as a guest for ideas (don't worry, when those points show up I'll be putting credit and links in the author's note)
spotlight the other members of the main 6 AJ should know the cat isn't her true shape but that she still trustworthy. Pinkie should know that following her orders is important and that she is in disguise. Rainbow Dash should be trying to catch to catch her for some reason.

I think Sunset should be in the story and be afflicted from before birth with a condition that transforms her from female to male and back female in the course of a month.

Wouldn’t mind seeing reactions from others of the Mane 6...also wouldn’t mind seeing Sunset Shimmer either. Don’t know how they’d react though.

Well honestly I'd just do a generic Pinkie Sense event with Pinkie. She is a bit of a random character so I really have a hard time deciding how she would react to anything. As for AJ, I'd figure she has likely had encounters with the cat a few times herself, probably one close encounter with a timber wolf when she was young. Admittedly how I would get around to her having a reason to recall it would require her meeting up with the other two talking about the cat, I would think.

Oooh....that stirs up ideas....but...I better let them settle so I can get some sleep. Tomorrow is an inservence day and Tuesday is another day off because of voting day, so... in between projects for school finals, I'll get started on writing.
I think, given the way you've started, and introduction/reaction from each other member of the Mane 6 is an inappropriate way to start, BEFORE the altered NM intro mind you. We've seen how Fluttershy knows her, and Rarity. We need to see what her interactions with AJ, Pinkie, and Rainbow are. I like the pov's you're using. I see no reason you cant do another "story time" sort of thing. But I think it appropriate to go ahead and detail "this was twi-kitty's" intro to the mane 6 prior to NM appearing.
I can't really make any suggestions as to how exactly. But I figure AJ's reaction can have something to do with the forest. What, not sure, but since the orchard is supposedly right on the borders it wouldn't be too hard to image some interaction there. Rainbows should be weather related. Maybe some strange weather in or around the forest that she can't deal with easily but twi-kitty interferes with/helps? Pinkie is a lot harder though....It comes down to which Pinkie you want to write. There's so many different ways because of how random and chaotic she is.
I happen to like Pinkie the Chaos Seer myself. She does things even she doesn't understand that casually break the laws of reality, magic, and physics....without knowing why she's even doing them sometimes. I could imagine her knowing that she needs to make a specific type of cupcake, and handing it to either Rarity or Fluttershy with the instruction "This isn't yours. I know you're supposed to have it though, you'll need it later". Or something along those lines.
This will not only buy you time to plan and outline your NM arc, but it will help establish your setting and your character relationships before starting up the rest of the story. No need to go overboard on it, but an extra chap or 2 detailing this and finishing establishing setting would be appropriate.
