Jekyll's Token and Message · 6:22am Jan 22nd, 2018

Jekyll's token is a single claw akin to those on his hands, except made entirely from dry bone. It retains its normal sharpness and may be used as a knife if the holder wishes.

Jekyll's message to other Displaced belies its originator's personality, as it is a test for those who would contact him. He intentionally made himself seem evil and cruel to determine who to avoid. Jekyll has an unusual method of avoiding people who would willfully do harm to others for their own gain, a more permanent method. Any who tried to hire him would be attacked and killed, any that attacked him would be befriended. Jekyll's message is said in a dark, menacing tone and follows as such:

“I am Jekyll, render of flesh and conqueror of nations, call me and be judged. If I find you worthy of my attention, I may help you in your endeavors. Should I find you wanting however, I shall destroy you for wasting my time.”

Menethil: "If you're going to show me the dead bodies of the Princesses at least have them be dead... and the Princesses. Secondly, tone it down a bit, you're going for conqueror but all I'm feeling about this is Edgelord Prime."

Nice Borderlands 2 reference.

Heaross: "I'd advise a different course of action. I'm easily a better shapeshifter and I don't feel like turning you into a cloud of red mist. Takes far too long to remove from armor."

While that is true and valid criticism, it was kinda the point. He was trying to seem over the top so he'd only be contacted by the best and worst of the displaced.

Which I understand and appreciate. The same reason why Menethil would react like that.

the guy I'm working on would end up double blinding with him as he responds to tokens by pretending to or really aligning with the holder depending on the message

So which Menethil are we talking? Arthas, Terenas, or other?

Other. The Displaced of the story I'm currently rewriting.
