YouTube followup: the Barcast subscription drive.

In the short form: a few FIMFic people are trying to drive a pony-related channel to the critical 1,000 subscribers number, which is now necessary in order to have their videos remain monetized after February 20th. (I first saw this through FOME.) This channel is The Barcast, which includes among its content:

* Author interviews (extremely extensive ones: often an hour or more)
* Story readings
* Character drawing sessions

There's also some Let's Plays about. And to truly make the channel pony-dedicated, any funds created through ad revenue are donated to charities which aid horses.

As of this writing, they're at nine hundred subscribers, and have just over a month to close the gap.

So check out their channel. Take a look at their group. Watch some of their videos. And if you feel it's worth a subscription, then just log into your Google account and from there, it's just a single click on the Subscribe button.

Again, their YouTube page is right here. And a hundred subscribers isn't so far to go.

ETA: As of this update, they're up to 980 subscribers: just twenty people away from safety.

You just get their videos on your homepage when you log in, if they've posted new ones. You would only receive something like email notifications if you deliberately clicked the notification bell symbol.

Subscribing to a YouTube channel just increases the chance that you'll have their content on their front page. If you look at your subscription section all videos put up by all channels you subscribe to will be there. There's also a bell icon that you can click so you are notified when a channel puts up a video.
