Godzilla and Japanese animation, they've coexisted for over sixty years and yet it took a back to back blockbuster combo by Legendary Pictures and Toho Company to finally spur one to be spurred from Polygon Pictures in association with Toho. Part one of a series of films, I'll be streaming it and seeing it in full for the first time so everyone who doesn't have Netflix and doesn't feel like breaking customs laws can see it!
And as the opening act for the King of the Monsters big entrance to animation in a feature length film, a rerun of the two other 2010s Godzilla films that led us up to this point!

Yeah, I just watched it this morning. I have a feeling we're going to have a lot of fun with this movie. Plus, it already has a dub, so that's kind of awesome.

I saw Monster Planet not two hours ago and I got to say, it was pretty good! There is so much I want to say, but I can't say anything without spoiling it! But what I will say is that you are going to love that scene where that thing happens. You'll know what I mean when you watch it.
The only thing I have left to wonder is if you manage, if you see fit, to incorporate this Godzilla into the Amalgam'verse. Probably not, but hey, heres to wishing!
Already saw all three and I got to say, Tarb, you are going to enjoy them greatly.

Watching Godzilla vs. Eren Yeager in Space on Netflix for first time as well. Though I wonder how this anime will factor in to the Amalgam'verse?

Sweet! This'll be fun. I did watch the movie already, and enjoyed it, but it's definitely something I'll want to see again since there's a fair bit in it to absorb.
Well, not having a Netflix account means that I'll be watching Monster Planet for the first time. I'll should be able to catch the second half of Shin (which I've only seen part of it).

Like I said, I couldn't make it today and I won't be able to come to the one on Sunday. Fortunately, I got a temporary Netflix account and I just watched Planet of the Monsters.
I heard a lot of people compare the main protagonist to Eren Yeager from Attack on Titan. I can see it, except Haruo is smarter and has a more realistic and practical mind.
I totally didn't see the twist coming, but the after credits scene creates a ray of hope. Can't wait till the next one.
