1st Time as a DND Dungeon Master. · 11:55pm Jan 13th, 2018
Ok, this is a bit nerdy, but after some timing, I was able to get 2 of my IRL friends and my brother to join a DND campaign I had in mind. I was a bit nervous, as it was my first time, but this is more or less the highlights for this session.
-Introducing everyone to the world, with them entering the tavern where everyone would introduce each other.
-The 3 players:
+(My Brother) Tiberius Leatherback: The Lizardfolk Ranger that's a folk hero... who tries to seduce women to marry him with wheels of cheese, and pulls out a bow for every problem.
+(IRL Friend) Duskshine: The Dark Elf Sorcerer who's a veteran mercenary, that's Irish and drinks a lot.
+(IRL Friend 2) Omaka: The Hobgoblin Paladin who smites everyone who opposes her god.
-Being the DM, I lead them to meet the R63 Stygion, Styx, and the R63 Starswirl, Starburst the braided.
-Bandits hold the place ransom, but our heroes fight back, killing the 4 of the 7, and scaring the others away.
-They're recruited by our powerful Witch (Female wizard in this case) and each given 300 gold coins to buy equipment.
-Tiberius fails by acting like a millennial, with everyone else buying the equipment they need, ranging from food and water, to some potions and new weapons.
-They follow Styx and Starburst into a cave, finding what may be where some dark entity is at. Our group splits up, with Styx and the players going left while Starburst goes right.
-Some chat with our group, but interrupted by some booby traps, which they go through, activating some traps, but luckily, no one's hurt.
-They enter above what looks like a cult gathering, about a dozen, each with candles, with the leader in blue robes, holding a well preserved book, summoning some demon from a statue of a zombie hand.
-Everyone attacks, and the cult leader is actually killed... by Tiberius drinking some ale, that was made with donkey piss, and blowing fire at him!
-A threat from the darkness, saying how his siblings will succeed where he had failed before fading away. Our group sees that they need to work together to save the day, and with Styx, begin their adventure to save the world.
-They buy a horse... well... Tiberius convinces the horse to trample it's owner to death, so they can steal a wagon for said horse and ride for free. Horse falls for it, but only knocks out the poor man.
-Character set out for the next kingdom with Styx to save the world.
I feel like at least two of them gave you blank stares upon meeting the r63's.
