    Seath's size problem.

I figure it's time I stop being annoyingly silent on an issue many have asked about and confirm that yes, I'm listening:

Happy New Year everyone! How about some story progress?

So, finally, it's here! One of the most trying years for many of us is at last concluded, and I wake today to a cold, clear and sunny first day of 2019. Really, really hope that's an omen of things finally changing for the better cause I daresay we all need it.

Few more teasers, just a few months late. XS

I know I promised this back in July but, well, if you saw my blog from there, things have continued to be rough in real life. Thankfully it looks like that may at last be changing so I've found the vigor to get back to writing again.

'Romancing the Recently Revealed Robot' isn't dead yet, it just needs some help...

Wanted to post this after checking in here and noticing the above series has found its way into a few collections that have been labelled as variations on 'dead series'. I accept full blame for folk thinking that, but if it matters at this point, I'm not giving up on my Spike x Sweetie Bot scenario just yet. It's just fallen by the wayside as attention has naturally gravitated towards 'Scaleless'

Just when I was thought I was done with all of the Dark Souls games, save for my repeat attempts to finish the Ringed City (come hell or high water I will NOT let Gael or Midir complete the trifecta of optional bosses I can't seem to beat no matter my build), this gets announced:

I'm going to hold my opinions on the idea of a remastered Dark Souls until it gets released, seeing as unlike Vaati I'm of the opinion that flaws have as much value as finery in making something memorable, and trying to fix the former to bring out more of the latter can often backfire...yet at the same time I'm also digging deep into the unused and half-finished content for Dark Souls and pondering what the game might have been like if it hadn't been rushed so...well again, come May 25th I shall give my thoughts then, just as I shall be begging for aid on a few certain boss encounters. You know which ones.

I suppose if they do end up changing certain aspects (and if they do, I would like to just make a quick mention of the Crystal Cave. Seriously, if I had to change one thing about the game it'd be getting rid of those damn invisible walkways) I shall also have to decide at that point whether 'Friendship is Scaleless' should reflect that. It would be in keeping with the implied subtext of the series for things to adjust as the state of the DS series adjusts, but on the flipside I'm also trying...admittedly with varying degrees of success...to move the focus away from Lordran so to call more attention to it now...

Umm...yeah, let's worry about that once the remaster is released.

Do hope to see a few of you online then!

What platform do you play on? I have it on steam for PC and thus could easily lend some assistance should you have the same version.

Gael becomes a joke if you have a second person, but Midir remains annoyingly challenging. I think the only reason I even killed Midir on my first attempt was my judicious use of Warmth to supplement estus flasks, well... and the fact that I had one REALLY good phantom assisting.

Interestingly, my Artorias cosplay build carried me through the entirety of DS3. Maybe that's just because the greatshield is overpowered and the sword is nothing to scoff at.

Gael was a fun fight and Midir was challenging, but I eventually got him. I can't wait to fight Artorias again in DS1, though. That'll be awesome.

I unfortunately am console exclusive (Xbox for DS 3, Playstation for Bloodborne, DS 1 and 2).

I'll only buy the remaster if they add something new other than letting in more ghosts in the session. I don't care that much about graphics.

As for Midir, hang in there skeleton, there's no easy way around this one. Learn from each death... Or cheese him with pestilent mist. If you can beat Midir, Gael is a walk in the park.
