It's going to be awhile before I think I'm going to write again. After an argument in the comments section, I began to wonder if I even want to still write for this site. Heck I don't want it I'm even beginning to wonder if I want to write at all. It's just everytime I bring up a certain character that I dislike I am assaulted verbally. And I'm just getting sick of it I'm sick of having to defend myself. And I'm sick of people not being willing to accept I don't like this character. But if that's what the Phantom's going to do why should I write or help support it. So for now I'm going to do a little soul-searching to see if I can muster up any love for this show that I have left. Because honestly it's not there anymore. And that makes me really sad

People can be assholes, and nothing will change that. But how you take it can.
I haven't watched the show for so long, I hope you find what you're looking for.
I might just go back and watch the show again too, now.
It's sad to hear this. People have a right to have an opinion and shouldn't be assault verbally or physically for expressing it.
Though please, don't stop writing because of a bunch of immature people, it would only encourage them in their attitude.

You can just block them if all they do is insult you? I dont really know how it works but it should be a useful tool in such cases?

What happen was that several months ago I made a comment on a story saying that I was going to be reading a story (which was part of a series I was somewhat enjoying) due to the pairing. I was polite about it and the author understood. Last night and today, I was verbally insulted over not liking that character. I stated why I didn't and was assaulted again. And I'm just tired of it happening

Though... can you clarify the "It's just everytime I bring up a certain character that I dislike" part (and only that part)? This can mean some very different things, changing the tone of the whole post, so I want to be sure.

Yeah, that happens. Some people like a certain thing, some don't, some hate it, and some hate it some much they can't comprehend it is ever possible that someone can even come close to "approving" of it (which you should ignore, if they are that far there's no point in even trying to convince them)... Or they are just trolling for the sake of trolling, never feed the troll.
Or, as a wise old saying goes: "Don’t hate the player, hate the game... And anyone who hates the player because of the game is an idiot either way"

I mentioned it below. Basically several months ago I made a slight comment on a story about not liking this character and that I wasn't going to read it. The author understood completely and did not take any offense. The only reason I even wrote this is because I have been following him and leaving comments. And a few days ago I started getting s*** about it. And it just reached a point where I got so angry that I don't know what happened. I was yelling they were yelling I just got tired of it. So I need some time to get my head together and just say do I still love this fandom if I'm going to get this angry over something so minor. Or if I'm willing to put up with this kind of stuff.
I hope you keep writing. You’re not going to please everyone and some people will never be satisfied. I’m hoping you can ignore those handful of disgruntled people, and listen to the majority that like what you do and will support you anyway they can. So please don’t give up yet.
I hope you do alright. everyone has their own opinion...but to be a better person? we have to remember that everyone view things differently...and that we have to tolerate and love another with how everyone feel to one thing or another. sure there might be a lot of disagreement, but some people are just too stubborn to accept that.
