Update on Legal Shit, Finale · 10:45pm Jan 9th, 2018
Mom and Dad are, as of today, divorced. Mom also has ownership of the minicooper and the dinky trailer, but zero zip and nada on everything else. Dad will also go to court again tomorrow, to get the order of protection and restraining order permanently in effect. In short, it ended favorably for all parties involved; mom has a place to live with a car (that we will have to get a tow truck for, since she threw the damn keys under a bridge), but by and large the trailer's been trashed to hell by her. That's a mess she and she alone will have to clean up.
It's only what she gets for acting like a petulant child. She'll have to support herself now, as none of her other demands were met (except the books thing, since Dad's willing to give those back anyway). I was told she may sue again, to render me and Amber legally inept, but if she does I told Dad I'd fucking counter-sue for emotional trauma brought on by her temper tantrum.
Judge also said that the things already at the house, 'sides the cooper, are things we get to keep. Mom cannot lay claim to the swords and guns, since we done removed those from the trailer. Only time's gonna tell at this rate if she'll legitimately get better or worse, and Dad said he wished she'd find happiness again. And hey, if she gets a boyfriend on the side, she can't get pregnant; she got her junk fixed after birthing Amber and signing papers she didn't fully read through until after that surgery. Even if she got un-fixed, menopause will slap her sideways in three years' time anyway, so overall it's pretty much moot.
Also, Dad's getting on good terms with Mammaw again, so that's a plus. And now that all this happy horseshit's more or less wrapped up, I'll start drawing a new avatar sometime this week, in between chores and story-writing.
