Status Update: Descent · 3:18am Jan 7th, 2018
A new year is upon us, filled to the brim with new possibilities and resolutions. Looking back on '17, it's funny how things ended up. There I was, all excited and ready to jump into my horsewords hobby again, and then a little puppy not even 2 months old suddenly fell into my care. Between pupper and work, my free time evaporated and I wasn't able to accomplish all that I wanted throughout the year.
Sometimes you just have to stop and eat some cake. Is that how the saying goes?
However, coming into '18, that little puppy isn't so little anymore. She's almost a doggo now and much more independent and better behaved. Thus, my resolution for 2018 is to complete all of my horse projects before the end of the year, mostly because it's high time I do so, and partly because I'm ready to move on to other things. I'll be descending into the word mines to really get to work, so if you don't hear anything from me for the next 6-8 months or so, don't worry. I'll be toiling away as best I can, and when I emerge, this thing'll be done.
But before I go, I want to leave you guys with a few things:
- I've decided that this 'Bonus Arc' will become a separate story. Not a sequel per se, but it's big and different enough from Exchange to justify it.
- I've also decided that much like with Homemade Kites, the story will be published only when complete, but not all at once. Fimfic readers will get the first two chapters to start, then one more each day till it's done. Hopefully the wait won't be too bad.
- I was happy to learn recently that much like Exchange, good 'ol I Dream of Luna is getting its own Russian translation. Boy, they must really be running out of material to translate if that's the case! But all kidding aside, I'm glad a new audience will get a chance to enjoy it, and it leaves me curious as to how the humor will translate over to another language and culture. There's a whole chapter full of 80's references, after all... good luck to the translators!

I sincerely hope by the time this comes out I'm able to purchase a copy, as this was my favorite horse words story for a long long time. It's just so good. I'm very excited to see what you come up with :D
