Celefin

You don't need a vacation, darling. You need a new life.

On the 23rd of May 2015, magic came to Earth. The event left Scapa stranded, a lone pony on a windswept island on an almost empty planet. The former human survived, and he left behind an unlikely civilization. A Ponies After People story.

Happy 20th anniversary, Lord of the Rings. Stories, anyone?

    Sweet Celestia I'm old.

What are your favourite LotR crossover fics here on fimfiction?
I still remember 'The White Rider', an amazingly written fic that sadly was never finished.

    Anyway. :b

    Next Generation? Oh yes please.

Must say I loved the movie, it gave a shitty week a wonderful end and I still have the fuzzies 20h later. That hasn't happened in a very, very long time. Watched it with my kids and other half, and we had a blast. Characters are great, the music is good to great and always fits, the jokes landed. References and also themes that will go over most kids' heads but are satisfying and often funny to

Six years and a day ago...

...the one thing happened that made me write my first fimfiction story, Northland.

    TThe Last Pony on Earth
One day, Earth. The next, everyone is gone and I'm a pony. What the heck is going on?

    Damn.

I got a a really nice comment on it today and now I feel both happy and sad.
At my current pace the next chapter of Northland should be out at about May 2025. :ajsleepy:

The iPone has arrived - and people are spontaneously combusting

I think the new pones are ridiculously cute, and a smartphone (regardless of how it works - we're officially in the far future after all) with a hoof-indent for better, uhm, handling is peak adorable. That's got to be one of the next inventions in the Track-Switch verse, for mankind's ongoing quest to become more accommodating to ponykind.

Not dead, new story, lots of coffee

    So, yeah, I'm not dead.
I had a really, really shitty time that recently ended with me losing my job, which I hated.

Apparently that sudden freedom was what was needed to lift my writer's block and I wrote a new story, that may or may not be a one-shot.

New Northland art and... progress (a little) · 1:14pm Jan 5th, 2018

A belated Happy New Year everyone.

2017's sure been crazy in many ways and not just the ridiculous dumpster fire of international politics. Broke my finger and lost my freshly acquired job, got sick, sunk a lot of energy in to several projects of which only one bore fruit, had to move my kids to a different school because of bad shit, had a depressive downturn, suddenly and unexpectedly found a new job, which is in fact my old job but under a different title with less pay (and damn, that was hard to get up to speed again).

But I'm still alive! Yay me!

Now for the self-motivational reason for this post: Brenda!
I decided to treat myself to a picture of what has become my favourite character without ever being intended to having a central role. I commissioned fire-star-animations and I love, adore and want to cuddle the result.

You should totally go and check out the artist's deviantart or tumblr profile. She has a unique style and does other interesting stuff as well.

The intended effect did indeed manifest itself and I'm 1500 words into the next chapter with an actual plan on how to write it and how to progress after that. I'm also catching up on other LPoE fics that I've sadly neglected for way too long. Still love this 'verse.

Good to see you back!
*looks at Brenda*
All right, I'll go hide over there, she's just too badass to stand too close. :derpytongue2:
Hmm... I wonder, why the PaP mares are always losing right ear?

Hi Celefin! Glad to hear you're back in the writing grove!

And yes, Brenda does look fabulous.

They don't want to be left behind?

HAPPY NEW YEAR CELEFIN! :pinkiehappy:

Glad to hear you're still alive! Alive is good. Also, you have kids!? :pinkiegasp: Why was I not told about this!?!

And yes, that is an excellent Brenda pic ^^

Thanks for commenting guys, I do hope this time around I am actually back. I also hope my dear editors still are interested in time displaced horses and available in a week or two. Yeah, setting myself a deadline here. Uh-huh.

Jep, cuddly badass Brenda :)
What's that about mares' right ears? I do hope Brenda was the first?

Brenda is best returnee, period. Further interesting things in store for her.

Hi there to you as well ;)
Yep, I've got kids. Three of them at the ages of nine, seven and five. Only because of them I found MLP and also because of them, a great many evenings reserved for writing MLP fanfiction didn't end up being used that way.

I like the picture! I can't remember if Brenda was an Earth pony or not. I thought she was a unicorn for some reason. It's been a while since I looked at the story. Oh, well. On a side note:. it looks like the eyebrows and a bit of the hair is layered improperly around the eyes. Unless it meant to be that way

4768006
You had that unicorn/earth pony problem once already :)
And yeah, the picture isn't perfect from a technical viewpoint but it captures the character's essence, which is why I love it so much. Anyway, nice to hear from you!

Yes, Kurgash lost hers quite a bit later.

Very cute Brenda :3

I love her so much :)

And I wish you strength and patience, and let all difficulties disappear or be overcome!
(Maybe this is a belated wish, but it will not be superfluous)

Thank you, I really appreciate this. Thanks for making me smile.
