Just a simple guy who likes to write and stumbled into this strange but wonderful fandom.

    Story Scraps 4

Alright folks, we're in uncharted territory now. This story idea didn't even have a name when I stopped really adding to it. It's not even a fully coherent plot, the middle part, of course, being the sticking point for me. Initially I wasn't sure if it was too big for one story and needed to be split into two or not.

    Story Scraps Part 3

To continue on with AJUO: Apocalyptica, I do have to admit this is where the idea as a whole started to get "fuzzy" if you will. I'd mentally charted out most everything up until this point in time, but when it comes to the middle of my stories everything goes up in the air in terms of what I definitively want. I start strong and end strong with ideas; I know where I am, and where I want to end

    Story Scraps Part 2

Hey all! Sorry to be late, but I ended up having technical issues. My computer crashed on me multiple times, and I needed to find out if it's a hardware issue or not. Continuing on from Sunday's exploration into the dunes of Saddle Arabia, let's focus back on Equestria, and take a look at what would have been AJUO 3.

    P.S. I'm not dead yet

"Hustlin Tom," the wizened old man exclaimed as he looked at the young lad looking up to him, a glint in his eyes as the mysterious music in the background swelled. "Hustlin Tom," he murmured again, shaking his head up and down in recognition, "Now that's a name I've not heard in a looong time." He shook his head a little more, "A long time." "You know him," the youth asked, his face

"Hustlin Tom," the wizened old man exclaimed as he looked at the young lad looking up to him, a glint in his eyes as the mysterious music in the background swelled. "Hustlin Tom," he murmured again, shaking his head up and down in recognition, "Now that's a name I've not heard in a looong time." He shook his head a little more, "A long time." "You know him," the youth asked, his face brightening; his quest to find the strange old man out in the desert may have come to a close. "Well of course I know him," the old man exclaimed as he put his hand to his chest with a smile, "He's me!"

So, obviously I've replied to a few comments here or there, thanked people for faves and the likes, but otherwise I've been rather absent. Fact of the matter is, it's been one long year. Adult life has not been fun, jumping from one job to the next, and I was honestly getting burnt out on poni 24/7. I had been ignoring other hobbies, interests, and social events, and I wasn't feeling fulfilled. I honestly was thinking about giving up writing altogether, because it is a hobby that takes more time and creative effort than a youtube video or reading. Blasphemy, I know.

Here's what I'm looking to to do in the future.

I have about a quarter of a story already written up which I've been working on on and off for the last year. I want to get it done, and then move on to a third and final A Journey Unthought Of story. From that point on my trek with Adam as the main character of my stories will be done. If I'm feeling properly motivated after that story is done, I plan to write two other stories. To avoid any potential disappointment, I will not disclose details on them unless A) I release them, or B) I give them up and write a basic synopsis of what I had planned, no matter how incomplete it is.

I hope everyone has had a good set of holidays, a good New Year, and that there's good stuff for you all to come, whether it's in your personal lives in the real world, here on FiMFiction, or perhaps with me, if I can write another yarn or two. For now, peace!
