Happy New Year! - 2018 Edition · 3:30pm Jan 1st, 2018
Another year has come and gone, and as we march forward, we must realize that things; both good and bad, must come to an end. This year, I am going to keep things short and simple. What are your plans for the New Year? What are you looking forward to the most? For me, that would have to be the following:
- Getting my full driver's license (finally)
- Jurassic World: Evolution ( A video game which is the spiritual successor to JP: Operation Genesis - a park-building game in the vein of Rollercoaster Tycoon)
- Getting back to work on my stories.
In lieu of the last point on my list: my presumptions about how busy I would be for the pre and holiday season were far off the mark: no progress whatsoever was done on anything. But there's a little more to it than just exhaustion or slight procrastination. See, last year I only watched about 3 or 4 pony episodes because I was too busy to catch most of them live. And... I never bothered to catch up because, well... I guess I'm just burned out on Pony. I've been in and active in the fandom since the time Suited for Success (Season 1, Episode 14) aired. 7 years is a long time in any fandom. And it's not just me; a lot of the Original Fans / Original Bronies have gone dark in recent years.
Still, I plan to at least finish what I have started. By the end of the week, I hope to get my stuff together and work on either that short, or power though the block in At Twilight as I did conceive a last-ditch way to make the story move.
