Final Blog Post of 2017, Plus the Year Ahead

Man, why didn't anyone tell me this fatherhood thing was going to be so time consuming?

2017 has been a weird-ass year, hasn't it? I didn't realize just how little I'd published this year until I went in to delete the story page I'd created for 'Do No Harm,' a horror story I've been trying to write since 2015. I'd love to blame my lack of creativity on the preparations for my son's arrival, but that wouldn't be fair to him. I mean, look at this face;

How could I blame anything on that?

I also took a quick look back at my blogs this year and I'm stunned by how many "this is coming soon" posts I made for stories that never came or are still in the wings. My New Year's Resolution is to stop doing that.

I'm still writing, I promise you that. I just can never tell when anything will be ready to go. So in the year ahead, I trust that you'll all be understanding in the long gulfs between updates.

I mean, you have been so far.

I'm babbling.

I'll cut this short and end it with the hope that you all have a very happy new year!

2018 List of Goals;

-Completion of 'Here's to Us,' 'On Swift Wings,' and 'the Wicker Mare.'
-Get story in the Royal Canterlot Library (One day, dammit...)
-Complete previously promised writing obligations.
-Stop being crushingly depressed with my employment situation.
-Be the best father and husband I can be.
-Figure out how my son is able to hold such large amounts of milk in his tiny body.
