A (Late) Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year · 2:20am Dec 29th, 2017

'Tis the season to be forgetful~

Yes, 2017 is on the way out and 2018 is rolling in. Year of the Doggo, so be prepared for a fuckton of shitty memes coming from that. I, for one, am excited for what next year will bring. Lot of big choices to make and places to see, though I'm keen on journey across China some more in the coming Winter break.

In terms of story updates, I did have a nice fluffy one for Gumdrop Files in the works, but I've put it on hold. The plan was to release it for New Year's Day, but I don't feel that it'll be ready for the deadline. Benched it, wait for a better day to post it out. Possibly at the start of Spring as it's about Winter Wrap up. I have a few other ideas to play with first though, so it'll work out one way or another.

Meanwhile, I'm on the third edit of my FOE side fic. The first and second chapters are written, and the the third is on its way. Just a case of tying it all together to make it work beautifully. I'm keen for pre-readers and/or an editor to help me with readability. There's only so much the Hemingway Editor can help for pointing out errors.

In other news, Christmas was interesting this year. It's been my first away from home properly, not spending it with either of my parents. Made me appreciate the friends I've made while abroad a great deal more, though getting back home from Suzhou was a royal pain in my rear end. Left their place at 3pm, managed to get in the station at 5, next train was at 8:30. Still though, a great time had by all. Even got some DnD in as well.

Shout out to Mr Tech for Gumdrop's coverart, and a wonderful thank you to those who have commented and liked the story.

Ciao for now, pones

Here here! May this year bring fame and fortune!

Failing that, some good fiction to escape from it all will do swell.
