We've made it! · 4:04pm Dec 21st, 2017
Thank you everyone, the Gofundme was a success!
So, whenever I've had the honor to be a guest in a podcast, or when talking to people in general about our community, I've always maintained that we are good people. Sure, we have petty individuals who will mass-downvote others, or leave mean comments or skirt the rules, but that holds true to every community online.
And well, at every turn, I am always surprised at the sheer amount of camaraderie and support we can have for each other. From random readers that will take the time to help you with edits or finding good stories to share and recommend, to those that will step up and help someone in need.
As I posted before in my blog "The best laid plans..." and followed up in "It's all here, in these pages…", the saga of the car death has been very stressful… but also immensely, overwhelmingly, touching.
Starting a Gofundme, as necessary as it was, is not something I foresaw myself doing anytime soon—and yet, life's turns throw fastballs at us which leave us scampering and grasping for some sort of way to make things work… and when you're in the process of (financial) healing, such as it is, the last thing you need is for your metaphorical leg to break as well.
Left with little else but some hope, that's what I ended up doing.
Everyone that donated… thank you. I really have no words right now other than that, which could somehow try to encompass the enormity of my gratitude. What you did was amazing and you've helped not only me, but my family as well, as I'll have a reliable and much safer vehicle to drive with my son inside.
Speaking of which, he saw me so excited last night that he asked if he could say something, and here it is below:
So, thank you again, all of you. Each one of you was a huge help and I will always be grateful for this.
To those who boosted the signal: Present Perfect, Capn_Chryssalid, The Abyss, shortskirtsandexplosions, Nyronus, GaPJaxie, SoloBrony, and Pen Stroke, and others that were planning on boosting the signal, thank you so much! Without your signal boost this wouldn't have been possible and I count myself very lucky to have friends like you, who'd go the extra mile to help a friend in need.
Thank you all, once again.
It was suggested by Abyss, and I think it's a great idea, that to celebrate this occasion, and also to thank everyone more properly, that I set up a poll for which story should be updated next that is awaiting updates.
These being:
1) Sparkle's No. 1 Assistant
2) Gothic
3) The Three Sisters: Like Fudge
4) The Sweetie Chronicles: Fracture*
5) Silent Jade
6) Young Amazons and
7) Finding the Right Note
(*TSC:Fragments' next chapter is almost done, and is just waiting on a last session with Somber. And damn, that's a lot of stories!)
It's not reward enough for such humbling support, but it is at least something I can do, to thank you back.

I'm glad the GoFundMe was a success, and I hope things go well for you from here on out. :)
That is really sweet with those guys did for you sorry I couldn’t donate because I didn’t have any money and the money I have is actually my father’s money so yeah he’s not here right now he’s in Portugal but other than that sorry I couldn’t donate
As of now there are 65 donations.
Average donation $51.
This number is deceptive as a lot of people donated 5 or like me 10 but there were a few people who donated 100 or more.
Also not included in these numbers are the thoughts and prayers of his many fans and friends.
I vote for three sisters: like fudge to update next
Awesome.
> some faith in humanity restored
Your son sounds so cute! And I'm glad you got what you needed. I wish you and your kin a Merry Christmas, a Happy Hearth's Warming, and any other holiday you may celebrate at this time.
Glad to see the GoFundMe campaign was a success; i wish you the best of luck in finding a reliable car.
Grats on the successful campaign! It feels good to know that you have friends and acquaintances that are willing to send you 5, 10, or 100 bucks when times are rough.
As for my vote, I choose Sparkle's No. 1 Assistant.
I'm glad you were able to get what you needed.
I've been hoping for another chapter of TSC:F. Maybe we'll get one soon, either way.
Oh, good lord. Your son is too adorable saying that. :D Happy to help, Wanderer. Glad it was a success.

(Also, I vote for Sweetie Chronicles: Fracture!)
Happy it worked out for you. Never fun trying to walk to the store in the snow and cold.
ps: The Sweetie Chronicles... Always.
Good to hear, but crap I missed the poll! I would've voted for Young Amazons.
Congrats! :)
