I should probably stop pretending and let all fifteen or so of you know where things stand.
Little Red Bow is going on hiatus. I know the reputation that status has here, but I do mean "hiatus". I still want to finish it at some point, but it's just not going to be now. Heartwood's half of the next chapter was written last spring; that scene's been a good part of what the entire story coalesced around, and I loved being able to finally get it down on paper. Apple Bloom's half still hasn't been nailed down enough to begin writing; it's allways been intended as filler (important filler, but filler none-the-less), and unlike the other filler parts, nothing's jumped out begging to be shared. Moreover, I started a new job several months ago, and the schedule's left me with less time to write than I used to -- not a good excuse given how little I used it even before, but even so, it does keep my mind otherwise occupied and so edge out moments of inspiration.
I will get out what I have one way or another. I hope it will be as a full chapter, polished and with the unplanned, timberwolf-narrated views of spirituality beaten into something that actually makes sense, but at the very least it will be as a transcription of the rough draft if I, for some reason, give up the last ghost of hope. Either way, I am sorry for not having acted on my (lack of) work for so long. I hope y'all are still willing to stick around for the ending, in whatever form and for however long it takes.
