Some things are too obscure to broadly reference on the internet.
Also there's a picture of Apple Bloom swearing at the bottom of this post
So, I thought I'd make an amusing reference to a thing I remember as a fun-bad movie from my childhood.
In the world of Logan's Run, at the age of 30 (21 in the books) everyone has their Last Day. In the movie, you report for and participate in Carousel. Now, the movie is 70s enough that it's not explains exactly what this is supposed to accomplish, but it's probably reincarnation. That's what they tell people. It's really just a murder room. Can't have any old people around suckin' up resources.
I missed my chance at renewal 5 years ago
So yeah. 35 now.
Anyway. There. I ruined the satisfaction all 3 people who understood me got from the previous blogpost

In horse news, I am crap at putting down words and not instantly hating them. I understand, in theory, the concept of drafts and rewriting later, but am far too neurotic to actually put it into practice. This weekend is shot as far as productivity is concerned. Too many people visiting.
But this happened this week.
So that's a thing.
Hey, at least you've got me beat. I put words on paper, instantly hate them, go through that whole drafting and revision process, get to the end, and still hate them.

Who said I stopped hating them
We can be misery twins!

Woo~
Misery twins! I'm pretty sure that's the best kind of twins.
I got the Logans run reference. But I've only seen it once and that was because As a teen I read a book in a series called ____ Run and there was a character called Logan so I thought it was related. I was both let down and entertained by the movie.

Haha. Also you're #2 so far. so I'm not a liar yet
I'm going to be watching the movie later tonight. My wife got the reference but has never actually seen the movie
I remember feeling let down by the ending too.
God that movie is so '70s.

It almost hurts some times.
Hey, happy birthday.
I've been known:
To confuse my younger associates by saying, "It's my job...to freeze you!" at random intervals.
Mike
Belated happy birthday!
The only thing I remember from Logan's Run was the scene where our intrepid heroes walked through an orgy in the love shop. That, and the perverted snow robot that kept a bunch of naked people in cryogenic stasis so he could do whatever perverted robots do. Good times.
