So with a title like that I'm sure you're expecting something either truly disturbing, or connected to the Metal Gear franchise.
Neither, but it is something I want out of my head, and I know where to pin the blame! (he proclaimed posing with his hand in the air as if cursing the cruel gods)
Ever since a blog post about how well - or not - Harry Dresden would function in a Kingdom Hearts crossover that sort of thing has been stuck in my head with a fervour that would make limpets go "easy on there, mate", and I've tried to work out how Dresden would function in other video game universes.
The winners so far seem to be Dresden vs. Persona (True Face), Dresden showing up in Injustice to show Doctor Fate how real wizard's fucking party (it helps that Blue Beetle is already in that game) (Slobber Knocker), and the most prevalent one, Dresden in Borderlands 2 (Siren Songs).
The idea that won't leave is that Dresden arrives about 6 months before the events of BL2, and lands on Doctor Zed's operating table (the most dangerous place in the game, I'm aware), gets patched up successfully from his travels, does a couple of odd jobs for payment before leaving, and finds himself dragged into the Vault Hunter nonsense as he starts looking for a way home.
And so, with a strange E-Tech bracelet on his wrist that keeps his Techbane from getting too out of hand (unless he channels it of course) that he can't remove, Harry joins the fight against Handsome Jack, Hyperion, and the madness of Pandora.
For extra heartbreak I was thinking whether I should set this after Changes, so Jack's treatment of Angel becomes not only disgusting, but deeply personal to Harry as well, the events of Control Core Angel likely becoming the end of the story in that case.
