I'm off to pick apples for a week or two, though I doubt kicking the trees is going to work very well. I don't know if I'll have internet access while I'm out, so I figured I'd make a blog about it, in the event anyone notices I'm offline for a while.

Alas, Bucky McGuillicuddy and Kicks McGee my legs are not, nor do I have any pony magic, so kicking the trees accomplishes little beyond knocking a shower of water onto my head.

Although, that was trying on a granny smith tree with small, firmly-attached apples. It might have actually worked on the trees I didn't think to try on that had particularly large and ready-to-fall apples, but I think the orchard-owner wouldn't have appreciated knocking the apples onto the ground, since I had no way to catch them. I've always wondered how AJ keeps her apples from getting bruised when they fall.

Too bad I'd already left by the time you two left your replies. It somehow failed to occur to me to actually try it out when I made that joke, so I just went and kicked a tree in my own yard after I got home.

he, i used to kick the crab apple tree at my grandmothers house when i was little, and i could get a few apples to fall when i kicked the tree. thou those apples tasted horrible anyways.
