I don't know if these spoilers about Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi are true or not, but they are horrible. Watch them at your own risk. But if they are true and you still applaud for this movie, this is what people like me will say "Is this how the entertainment industry dies, with thunderous applause?"

I'm not even going to bother watching The Last Jedi. I gave up on the Star Wars franchise after watching The Farce Awakens.
I had hoped that maybe I could be content with the Expanded Universe being non-canon if the 7th movie was good enough, but it wasn't. I have pretty much turned my back on the franchise since then, only watching the original 6 movies, the Clone Wars, and sticking with the old EU materials.
I'll have nothing to do with the Disney-era Star Wars, sort of like how I have nothing to do with most of the Neo-Saban Power Rangers.

I think after all Disney has done to stuff I grew up with, I have been especially enjoying DreamWorks Animations more than I already did, well, Shrek in particular.
Apparently Jeffrey Katzenberg, the co-founder of DreamWorks Animation, was said to have modeled Lord Farquaad after his former employer, Michael Eisner (the then-CEO of Walt Disney) and that Duloc was modeled after the Magic Kingdom. And Shrek is full of stuff that either parodies or downright insults Disney fairytale movies.

That South Park episode with Mickey Mouse was really funny and it showed Disney very accurately.
