Good and bad news · 8:31pm Dec 11th, 2017
Hey guys.
I'll get straight to the point. Good news is, I finally have a new computer. Bad news is, because it is a Christmas gift, I can't use it until then. But I WILL have a new computer.
Work has been keeping me on my toes on the weekends, and school is refusing to cool down, even as the semester is about to close. Turns out my winter break has been cut short this year (and everybody else's), so I'm only getting the week of Christmas off, then I go right back to school starting January 2nd. Not nearly enough time to try and kick back and get some writing done.
On top of that, I'm stressed out over a close friend of mine who is more than likely going to lose his home some time soon. Contact with him has been pretty spotty since his internet and phone were shut off, but all I know is now is he's trying to get help via a homeless veteran's aid program to hopefully keep his current home or be able to get a new one pretty quick. I'm trying to see if I can send some money his way now that I'm working and can afford to help him out too (if he lets me that is), so I'm praying things work out for him, especially this time of year. So, all in all, I don't know when I'll be back to writing. As of right now, I don't think it will be any time soon. Between school, work, and other stuff, I have virtually no time or motivation to sit down and churn out a new chapter of something.
Starting January going to March I will be out of a job again since the zoo closes during that time period, so I WILL have weekends to myself again, but I imagine my parents are going to pressure me into finding another job right off the bat just so I "stay busy". If they don't, I'll be surprised, but I'll be able to write again.
