Ello Y'all, MurlocStalker here, and I need your opinions on a matter. For those of you who read it, Beggars can be Choosers is currently my most popular fic, and I have not forgotten about it. I still have the drive to write and finish it, but then my partner, the one who basically makes up most of what happens in this fic, came with an idea that I am not too certain about. He wants there to be an erotic chapter in the story between the OC and Adagio Dazzle, and this leaves me conflicted.
We started this project off with the intent to make a Teen friendly story with a bit of drama and romance while never delving into the more darker, taboo and sexual territories, and now that is being flipped upside down. I don't know how well that would fit into the story at hand and if maybe that would drive off our readers. That's where we need your advice. Should we write a clop-chapter or no? And if we do, should it be in the main fic or be like something of a spinoff story while still keeping it connected, so to speak. This way we could keep the T rating.

It's up to you guys however in my opinion I think you should hold off on the clop for a bit longer, gotta have the romance kick up first.
I say maybe you have it impled it's happening. But if you want to do a clop I'd do it as a spin off. That way you can keep the story teen but still write it if you want.
I'm also for the previous comments, especially the spinoff idea.
Since this story is not based on porn I would highly recommend against putting in any sex scenes. Thus far it has been an enjoyable slice of life read and putting in a sex scene would be very disruptive of that. If you do want to include some kind of erotic banter then go ahead, but in that case I would recommend doing what they do in movie romances: show them kissing on a bed before cutting to another scene and/or jumping to aftersex where they're just sitting in bed with blankets covering everything.
Of course, since this is your story you can do whatever you want with it regardless of my input, but I would suggest leaving out any actual sex.
Who says that it has to be clop to be erotic? A private massage could be erotic if done right.

IF the clop were to ever happen, it would be way later. Like you said, gotta build up that romance between them first if we are to do it.
I agree, if your going to do it then make it a spinoff but still connected to the story.
