Smaller doses don't lead to quite so much bizarre ideation, but they do lead to dreams in which my brain crossovers freely, including in this case a quick visit to Game of Pones Thrones.
Because with Canterlot Castle being as cantilevered off the side of the mountain as it is, of course Princess Luna has a Moon Door in her throne room.

One presumes one of the reasons why more ponies don't take their legal appeals to the Night Court is that while, yes, the Royal Service has provided Luna with a legal attaché brave enough to explain to an angry Night Princess that a given punishment has been abolished some time in the last thousand years, and yes, that one has too, with the Moon Door being right there, it's entirely possible that the guilty party would be bouncing off foothills before he finished explaining that defenestration is now declassé.
(It wouldn't work for pegasi, of course, but then, I imagine it arrived in ancient Equestrian law due to Commander Hurricane's taste for "Madness? This! Is! Cloudsdale!" verdicts when dealing with offenders and, heh, offenders of the other two tribes, back in the day.)
((And, yes, I know it's not technically defenestration.))
The Moon Door may be Luna's preferred way into and out of the court, though that could send unfortunate messages about her position in relation to justice.
Also, it's hard to say what exaggerates Commander Hurricane more, the Hearth's Warming pageant or Flank Miller.
