Upcoming Anniversary: What Do? · 5:57pm Dec 3rd, 2017

The site is putting the first paragraph of this blog behind a break for some reason, but please do read on. 
So as the title implies (other than the specific year), I'm coming up on my five-year anniversary on FimFic just after New Year's. Given the time that I've put into this site, that's a pretty big deal for me. I don't recall doing anything for my previous anniversaries other than blog posting on the day (and I even missed it some years), but I'd like to do something this year, and since it's coming up in a month, I only have so much time to put something together. That said, I'd really like your input.
To give you an idea of what I'm capable of, over the past five years, this is what I've managed to accomplish:
— 12 solo stories written
- One featured on Equestria Daily
- One surpassed 100k words
— 11 collaboration pieces written
- One featured on Equestria Daily and the Featured Box(I'm counting A Daughter and her Dragon here as one since Crystal Moose is the original author)
- Another achieved the Featured Box (supposedly)
— 4546 stories edited (three in progress, more are coming) with 13 different authors
- 19 achieved the Featured Box
— At this point I can't even tell how many stories I've read, so I won't try to figure it out
Obviously there are plenty of users that have done way more than I have, but I'm still pretty proud of what I've done. So like I said, I'd like to do something for the occasion, but I don't know what. If anybody has any suggestions, please don't hesitate to give me some. Whether it be writing another story, something to go in a blog, something personal, or whatever, I'd like to do something.
My only upfront restrictions:
1) Don't tell me to write any clop stories.
2) Don't tell me to update DaD. I'm working on that anyway, so it's not something to do for the occasion.
3) Don't tell me to write stories with other people's OCs, because then I'd need to collaborate, and there's not enough time for that.
Speaking of number 2, even though—I'll be honest—I tagged DaD so I could reach a wider audience, I will give you loyal readers an update there, and hopefully this is something you haven't already heard. Chapters 29 and 30 are finished, and I'm about 950 words in with chapter 31. I'm having a little bit of a block, but I have the upcoming events in mind. I just need to get them down properly. After I get chapter 31 finished, I'll run those three by my editor, whenever he has time. I think they're going to be enough to get to the next break point. I was expecting more, but I realized they weren't necessary and would only drag the story down. However, I can assure you that there will be plenty more of the story coming after that.
I believe that's all for now, but please do give me any suggestions you can think of for my anniversary project. I hope to hear from as many of you as possible, and even if you think your idea is ridiculous, don't hesitate to comment it.

It would be fun to have a story with starlight glimmer having a heart to heart with the crusaders on cutie marks. Seeing as how cutie marks brought the crusaders together and set starlight down the path of being an antagonist, it would be a really fun topic.
Do something artistic in a medium you don't normally use, and then post the results on the big day. Maybe try a few different things.

Not a bad idea, but it feels like just another story prompt, not something I'd do for a major anniversary. May try to use that prompt sometime in the future, but not at the moment. Thanks, though!

Y'know, that's a pretty good idea. I'd been trying to do some digital drawing before my computer crashed, but compared to the artists I've commissioned, I draw like a four-year-old, even with digital programs like GIMP (I can't get SAI on my Mac...). You did make me think of something else, though. Even though I HAVE done poetry stories here, maybe I could do a more personal poem pertaining to FimFic in a blog post. I'm literally in the middle of helping someone write new lyrics to "Hearth's Warming Eve is Here Once Again" for a holiday fic, so I could pretty easily put together quite a few stanzas about the site and my time here...
Still open to other suggestions!
