Aaand, We're Back · 2:42am Dec 2nd, 2017
The door to the Hyperbolic Writing Chamber exploded open, and The Albinocorn flew across the room, crashing over the couch and landing with his head on the cushion and his legs dangling over him.
"I'm sensing some hostility," he said flatly.
Sunset Shimmer marched out of the white void, fists balled at her sides. "Thirty days! Fifty thousand words! You said Volume II would be done! Guess what? It's still not done!
"I say a lot of things, most of them not true. You of all people should know this."
"We didn't even get to the part you promised me!" Sunset clawed at the air. "I don't know why I listened to you!"
"A mystery for the ages." Gravity finished its work, and Albi fell off the couch, resting belly down on the floor. He sighed. "If it helps, we're like, inches away from it."
Sunset stomped past him. "It doesn't. I'm going to get food."
"That's nice. I'm just going to lay here for a second."
*Climbs back into chair*
Joy. We're home. With 53,519 words, Spectacular Seven Volume II is... still not done. All of those words took me up to the first chapter of the finale. I can't even with myself. How do I win but still manage to lose? So, more work for an already busy month.
I'm not going to talk about November, there's no reason to, it's pointless. Let's just focus on what's coming next. First off, I think December's word count goal will be 35,000 instead of just 30k, just to make sure that SS finishes in the next week or so. After which, there's a shit ton of editing that has to be done to make this thing coherent. I made even more changes as I wrote it out, so there are a whole bunch of things I have to add in, phase out, or rework. I'm trying to give you guys the best quality I can. I still want it to come out in January, but that might be pushing it just a bit. Stay tuned.
Since I'm technically free to work on other stories again, I can go back to putting some effort into Class Zero and making sure its launch is as good as it can be. I really want this story to hit the ground running. Two chapters will be out on release, with the third chapter planned to drop about a week later. Maybe even the fourth one a week after that if I work hard enough.
And, I still have a Christmas gift for all of you: another story! Much of this month was going to be devoted to working on that, but now I have to split my attention a little bit more. Still, I want it to debut on Christmas Day. Better find a cover artist fast...
With these three projects needing my immediate attention, Across the Shimmering Sea and Mechanical Soul won't be seeing any updates until the new year. My apologies for that.
Next year, I would like to try to go back and do some follow-ups for season 7, and of course the movie. In the meantime, I'll be having another 10 Days of Pony countdown list starting on the 14th and leading up to Christmas Eve, then on Christmas, boom, new story! This year's theme? The top 10 villains of gen 4!
It's funny 'cause, there really isn't a villain per se in this new story.
And that covers it. I'll have more to say about Class Zero and Spectacular Seven when we get closer to their release dates. Whoo.
So if she's the Vegeta to your Trunks, does that mean you're a princess destined to marry
BrolyTirek?Don't give up!
Congrats on getting over 50k words out in 30 days nevertheless. Wish I could boast those numbers this year, I didn't even hit my monthly average I don't think...

Congrats on hitting the 50K! And don't worry, man; take the time you need to make SS the best it can be. The fact that it's taking so much makes me all the more ecstatic! And at least I can pin down what part has Sunset so happy for down now, given where you said you are in writing.
I'm sure the Top 10 Villains will be fun and I'll be looking forward to the new story. You put in a lot of hard work for us and it is appreciated. Proper respect for all you manage. I hope December goes well for you, not just in writing, but in everything else.
Woo! Congrats on a NaNoWriMo with over 50k words!
So sad there won't be more Across the Shimmering Sea this year; but, will be patiently awaiting all of your other projects!
50k words is pretty dope.
*Still attempting to rise from the dead and continue writing*
"Dammit Starlight just use Edo Tensei!!!!"
"can I-"
"No trying to use Sunset as a sacrifice!"
"You're no fun"
Jesus Albi, given those numbers don't you think you're being a bit hard on yourself?
Now I wish that a Hyperbolic Writing Chamber was an actual thing.
This may just be my filthy mind but i wanna guess that the part you promised her is Sunset and Twilight getting sexy time?
Welcome back, kid. Glad to see Sunny's keepin' you in line.
Writing does not follow nice neat word counts. The story demands exactly as much space as it requires- it is up to the Author only how they match that.
N-next year? What do you mean by next year?
Anyway, good work!
