Deathstroking Update: Meet Slade Wilson from Earth 28 (Version 2.0) · 3:34pm Nov 24th, 2017

Hey, guys. Well, after taking into consideration the suggestions that Wave Blaster has made, I've decided to fine-tune my backstory for this particular version of Slade Wilson/Deathstroke. Well, here you go.

This version of Slade has a very similar backstory to the one from the comics, ran away from home when he was 15 to join the Army, shot up through the ranks like a rocket, married one of his instructors, and signed up for what he'd thought was a project designed to provide a countermeasure to the enemy's truth serum, but, in truth, it was an attempt to create a super-soldier. Except, in this case, the procedure actually worked the way it was supposed to with only the minor side effect of turning his hair white. This, in turn lead Slade, who was in his mid-20s by this point, to become “The President’s Man.” In case you haven’t seen that movie, that basically means he became a one-man Suicide Squad. During one of his missions, Slade was sent in to rescue a group of soldiers who’d been captured by the enemy, his best friend Billy Wintergreen among them. Except, the men that had been captured had in fact joined the enemy, and during the escape, Billy betrayed Slade and stabbed him in his eye. Slade’s lifeless body was dumped into the ocean where, much like in Arrow, he swam to the mainland. Not long afterward, Slade left the service and took up mercenary work as Deathstroke. Although, when she found out, his wife wasn't too keen on Slade being a soldier of fortune, causing his children to worry that they might be getting the "Mom and Dad are having problems talk."

While out on a contract, Slade learned that his wife had been murdered and his children kidnapped. It is this event that prompts Slade to sign on with Celestia and Luna, hunt down those who wanted Twilight dead, and send them off to Tartarus, in exchange for money, equipment, and supplies to carry out the deed, of course. In an ironic twist, it'll be the upper crust ponies, the very people who Slade is out to hunt down, are the ones who get stuck with the bill.

After his wife's murder and his children's kidnapping, Slade begins to move earth and sky trying to find those responsible for it, while taking the occassional mercenary contract to "help keep his guns loaded and his stomach fed and watered." During one of his missions as Deathstroke, Slade was hired to steal a piece of experimental portal technology that Lex Luthor wanted. During the ensuing battle, the device was turned on, and Slade was sent on a one-way trip to Equestria.

And that's pretty much it. Any questions?

Let it begin! Let it begin!! Sounds awesome I liked your other Assassinverse stories especially the Black Lantern Twilight ones. I'm sure this won't disappoint.
