Parenting According to MLP:FiM Season 7 · 7:25pm Nov 18th, 2017

Hey, everyone. So, in one of my crazy theories posts, I noted that a lot of episodes in the last season seem to be dedicated to parenting or at least can be interpreted as such. So, I've made a list of what I like to call the parenting episodes and the messages of each one. I've included at least one message for kids and one message for other parents. Granted, not every message is going to fit each episode perfectly, but I tried. So without further ado, here's "Parenting According to MLP:FiM Season 7."

“Celestial Advice”
For kids: We don’t want you to stop needing us, but we’ll let you go anyway if that’s what you really need.
For parents: You’re going to have to let your kids go and find their place someday, but don’t worry about it. You’ll still have a place in their lives.

“A Flurry of Emotions”
For kids: I’m sorry that I made being your parent more about being Superperson than actually being your parent.
For parents: Your kids don’t need you to be Superperson. They just need you to be there for them.

“Rock Solid Friendship”
For kids: I love you more than anything in this life and want you to be happy and accepted by others, and I’m sorry that I tried WAY too hard to make that happen.
For parents: It’s hard when your kids are a bit different from everyone else, but forcing them to fit in or forcing others to accept them isn’t going to make life better for anyone.  Just let them be themselves.  It’ll work out.

“Forever Filly”
For kids: Sometimes, I REALLY don’t want you to grow up. Sometimes, I just want to turn back the clock and relive those precious moments over and over again, but you growing up is a reality that I’ve got to live with.
For parents: Your kids won’t stay kids forever, and you’re not going to get those special moments back no matter what you do. All you can do is treasure each moment as it comes and goes.

“Parental Glideance”
For kids: I’m sorry for all the times that I unintentionally embarrassed you, but I want you to know that you’re my pride and joy, and I’ll love you no matter what.
Alternatively:  Be grateful that you have someone who loves you as much as I do.  Other kids aren’t nearly so lucky
For parents: Never stop loving your kids even if they don’t always appreciate the way that you show it.  That being said, maybe you should reel in your enthusiasm just a touch.

“The Perfect Pear”
For kids: Both your family AND your own choices make you who you are.
For parents: Don’t teach your kids to hate others for petty reasons, or you’ll end up driving them away.

“Once Upon a Zeppelin”
For kids: You can’t please everybody, and you don’t have to, so it’s perfectly fine to say no to sometimes.
For parents: Your time with the people you love is important. Don’t let unnecessary obligations take it from you.

Side note: I'm not a parent and have no parenting experience whatsoever, so please take what I wrote here with a grain of salt.

No Parental Glideance was just a Rainbow Dash torture porn. Her parents are psychotic and RD and the Wonderbolts should've pressed charges against them.
