Is it safe to say that I'm pretty sure that my generation is gonna be screwed over? · 8:00am Nov 17th, 2017

WARNING: POLITICAL RANTS FROM A SLEEPY HIGH SCHOOLER.

After a week of quizzes and tests, I just need some good ranting time before I burst out at someone.

Now, concerning the state of the USA...

Screw everything.

First of all, the headliner: whatever the heck has been going on lately with tax reform has resulted in the possibility that college grants will end up being taxed...

...so that the rich can get a tax cut. That's certainly gonna hurt in a couple years when I start college.

Second of all, the EPA is doing the exact OPPOSITE of it's namesake duty. Seriously, count how many former oil lobbyists there are in admin roles compared to actual environmental scientists. Sheesh.

Third of all, seems like the FCC is probably gonna flush Net Neutrality. I do not look forward to what Comcast has in store for the aftermath. Especially considering the crapton of outages I already get.

Fourth of all, Germany was recently voted by 50 countries as the replacement to the US as the world's most favorably country. Good for them. Now if only we knew why the US dropped to second... Oh wait. It's a global laughingstock.

So screw it. I'm sleepy, I've been reading news articles, the nightmare rectangle is still glowing, and the general state of reality is loosening at the threads.

And no, this isn't some stereotypical liberal banter for you right-wingers, this is a heavily annoyed teen living in freakin' UTAH, one of the most conservative states to exist. These are my true to the heart opinions and views on things based on reading news articles from Fox, NBC, CNN, The Guardian, The Washington Post, New York Times, and several other networks.

I mean, before a certain celebrity became president, I hardly have any mind to politics. Nowadays I've been making a mental checklist of what NOW to do if I myself ever somehow became president.

I even made up a little slogan if I ran: To the Scholars.

Why? 'cause the US education system has kinda been lagging behind by quite a bit compared to many other countries lately.

And there's the nonstop politics of everything.

And on top of the sheer number of scandals these days...

And combined with the dangerous flame war between Trump and Kim Jong Un...

I'll have to once again repeat: screw it.

I most sincerely hope that the next president will focus on damage control.

And sheesh, am I irritated right now.
