Hmmm, Welp · 1:28am Nov 14th, 2017
Turns out I need a Stem Cell Transplant next month with a different type of Chemo.
A lot of sciencey mumbo jumbo that would make Twilight go crazy. I'll need to be in the hospital for most, if not all of December, including through Christmas and New Years
Here’s to hoping everything goes well!!
Bummer, you aren't the only on on the site having to fight the C Word. Had to myself, know the uncertainty. Keep positive, keep the faith. I'm in your corner.
That is literally exactly what happened to me. SC transplant on December 17th of 2014—was there through Xmas and New Years. Then they kicked me out on the 3rd because my numbers spiked—I was doing so well that I didn't need to be there anymore! Here's hoping the same happens for you!
And I second what 4724932 said. Positivity is key. We're all here for you!
Hopefully you have a tablet or something, worst part of being stuck in a hospital is having nothing to do. Here's hoping you don't have to spend too much time there.

Its honestly nice to talk to people who went through the same experience I'm going through now. I'm still honestly scared for what might happen and what not. I've been reading, my dad has been reading about this stuff as well.

I understand, even when they say 'it is minor', 'it is caught soon enough' or 'it isn't anything to worry with'. It is still the C Word and as soon as they say it, the chills and cold sweat hit.
I am with you and am available if you need to vent, cry or scream at someone. Either here or PM me!

Hey, if there's anything that cancer survivors can do, it's help others going through it have an easier time of it. Obviously it isn't easy, but it can be easier. Like 4725804 said, even if it "isn't as bad as it could be," it's still pretty nerve-wracking. If you need us, we're here.
I had an old Discord server set up specifically for people that wanted to talk medical, but very few people joined. I can set it up again if you want a separate place to hang out and talk to people who also went through it or still are. Can't guarantee many more people will join, but it doesn't hurt to have a place.
