    Everfree Northwest 2022

I survived another con. But as much as I'm glad to be back home and in my own bed to recover; it still feels like it was over far too soon.

Child Abuse Is Not Part Of Pride

It sickens me that this needs to be said, but the pro-child-molestation crowd is at it again. I'm not going to write in depth about this particular incident, as others have already done a better job of that. I'll just link two blogs that I think tackle the issue very well.

    Aquaman's blog:

MrNumbers has made an excellent video that says a lot of things that I would like to say, better than I could ever hope to say them. Link below.

Story Milestone - Lightbearers Rough Draft · 11:47pm Nov 13th, 2017

Well, after numerous setbacks and delays, I'm finally back on track to finishing this mess.

I had hoped to have the rough draft for this story finished last spring, summer at the latest; but so much kept getting in the way. Mostly depression keeping me from writing at all, issues with a new roommate moving in, and my job becoming far busier, leaving me with less free time with which to work on the story. But thanks to taking a week off work, and work finally starting to slow down a bit, I'm caught up.

So, the full rough draft of all three books of the Lightbearers trilogy is complete. That's not to say that it's anywhere even remotely readable yet, I have a whole lot of work to do before I get a first draft ready for editing; but everything I want to say is down, all the scenes, transitions, and narration there and ready for pounding and bending and honing into something resembling a story. Albeit not a particularly coherent one.

I'm hoping that the next phase will go much faster, and I'll have the first readable draft ready sometime before spring; but as I'm also looking at having to move within the next few months (working on buying a house), I'm not sure that is going to to be a realistic goal.

Oh well, it'll be finished when it's finished, and then I'll find something else to obsess over (already have a half-dozen other stories in the works). And maybe get back to doing some reviews. I have been missing doing those.
