So I've been reading too many current events, and thought I'd give a shout out to anybody that's been paying attention to them. Some of the stuff I've been reading in the news reads like some of my weird fetish stories, and not in a good way.
What I write is supposed to be fantasy, and I'd hope the rest of y'all can keep it fantasy. If this kind of thing is the kind of thing you like, great, but accept that it will always have to be a fantasy. That's okay. The real world implications of these kinds of things are destructive to all parties involved, even the perpetrator. I'm sure the people actually thinking on actualizing something aren't gonna be swayed by this in any way, so this is for the rest of you.
Stay excellent to each other, keep an eye on your friends, and family. Listen to them when they mention something that doesn't sound right.
Watch yourself. If it seems like somebody has all the answers, they don't. Nobody does.
There's also a thing called financial health and it goes hand in hand with financial abuse and manipulation. If somebody is telling you they can solve your problems, but it will cost money, or they want you to donate money, look at your own financial health. If somebody want's to play a dom/sub game with you, that's fine. If they want to take it out of the bedroom, you need to really evaluate the relationship and repercussions here. If they want you to go into your pocketbook, you REALLY need to evaluate the relationship.
If they want to brand you, run the fuck away for the sake of your future self, if not your current self.
Right now there a few things in the news about a cult that's been preying on people, but specifically rich women in order to turn them into "slaves". As sad as this is, it's not an isolated incident. We're just hearing about it because they are people of note.
People want to wrap you around them. You are a commodity to these people. They will seem nice, they will seem helpful, but they are not. Cults of personality are a real thing, and in the information age we live in they've been modernized. Just as their is a science for how to efficiently run a company, there is a science for how to efficiently run a cult. And these people know it, and put it into effect. While they have the same basic play-book, these are not your granddaddy's cults. They can seriously get to you.
I've met different level folks like this, pretending to channel ancient spirits to get the attention of "believers", or at an anime convention where everybody in a social group idolizes one person to an unhealthy degree. Most times they're about money. Sometimes they are about sex. Sometimes control. Sometimes they are just about attention. But it's usually not just one thing, usually it's about quite a few.
Just, watch yourself, your surroundings, and your friends and family. If a group or person of any kind is asking for too much from you, just be aware. And if a friend is too far gone into one of these, it's okay to cut them loose and let them know that if they ever want free that you'll be waiting.
You are more important than anyone else, so treat yourself like it.

Well it was only a matter of time till reality caught up with fantasy, not that I have any interest in humans, but I would be interested in seeing someone take that cult down if it hasn't happened already.
