A list of Story concept that have been plaguing my mind. · 10:41am Nov 10th, 2017
Hello, I just wish to list a couple of Story ideas that have been floating through my mind for a while. Since then they have been stuck in my head with no obvious chance of me loosing interest in them.
So I am going to write and post this list to see how many of you are interesting in these concepts of being a realty and which one. Their are four that I will list today so all of you may choose which one sounds the most interesting.
Or, you could give these ideas a good run and write them yourself. Certainly would make my life allot easier if some of you do.
Concept number 1: The reverse "Human in Equestria" concept.
This idea is pretty simple, take your favorite pony (main or background who cares) and make them DIE!!! Somehow, petty similar to how most HIE stories go. The pony in question then wakes up on earth, and eventually comes across the main character of the story. The difference with this is that the pony is permanently stuck on earth, with no way of returning home similar to most HIE fics as well.
You could also add some typical crisis stuff where the pony has an active role to play, or you could just keep it simple and make a basic slice of life story with all the bells and whistles attached to them. The obvious problem with THIS idea is of course the world government, how would society accept a talking magical pony and how would the neighborhood that the character lives in handle he or she. Well, I let all of you come up with interesting ideas but other then that all the option are on the table.
The idea I had with THIS concept is in particular is about Octavia, or spitfire getting into an accident and then getting send to earth right in front of Alexander Beckers front porch while he was busy watering the flower bushes. Yes, yet another Alexander story but this time taking place at his local home at earth, with all of his cousins, his home and his country that he constantly talks about in the first tow fics...and of course his crappy neighbor too.
Concept number 2: Harsh Reality.
The name says it all, its basically a fic about a guy who, again, ends up in equestria against his will. I know what you all are thinking. "But this pretty much sounds like every other generic HIE fic I have read before" Is what you all probably wonder, and you would be right...not really.
You see most HIE fics are pretty much the same when you look at them overall. Human get to Equestria, either the ponies accept him ot hate him, depending on the first contact he either makes some friends, lives a normal live or has to partake in some crises that involves him and bla bla bla you get the idea. Or if they hate him, he would either try to convince the ponies that he isn't a threat, primarily to the main 6 or the princesses. OR it just doesn't work out and he gets mistreated and kicked around. Which then leads to a sad or dramatic story about suicide or him promising revenge to those that wronged him, which in turn transforms him into a villain character.
Well this one is a little bit different from all those concepts I have listed.
I personally have been thinking about this idea of bronies wishing to go to Equestria simply because of the fact that Horse land is colorful and magic, so much more peaceful and friendly then our own world. In most cases, these ideas are primarily hitched on the cliche idea that earth is a living hell in comparison to magic talking pony land.
Well I just say BULLSHIT. Because if you think about it in more detail, then equestria itself could be allot more dangerous compared to whatever environment you live in. At least here on earth, everything is natural and manageable. With disaster either being from natural cause or made by our own hands. Easily manageable and adaptable.
Not in a world filled with mythological creatures, demi gods and magic though. Everything there is SUPERNATURAL. Basically alien, unknown and certainly NOT manageable. Especially when you add Demi god creature like Discord or Tirek into the mix.
But that's not the only problem, ohhh no we are just getting started.
Have you ever heard someone say that going to equestria is a human being is perhaps the DUMBEST and most MASOCHISTIC idea that you could do? Why? Well simple.
Equestria is populated by magical talking ANIMALS. And if there is one thing that we have all learned from biology is that Animals, in terms of senses, physical structure, strength, endurance and stamina are superior to the average human almost all ways, with the obvious exception of intelligence. BUT would automatically get nullified as well whenever a desperate human every passed through the gate to equestria, because there every animal is capable of the same metal prowess that you have. Ponies, griffon, Minotaur and even fucking dragons are sapient beings. And lets not even get start about MAGIC.
Either way, you will be just a massive waste of space and biology. With you generic ass weak and fragile human body, with no powers or magic to speak off. No Deu Ex Machina, Macguffin or Garry/Marry Stu for you.
THIS IS REALITY and the main character of this story knows it. He knows of the show, but her personally never had interest in it and certainly had no wishes in shooting himself in the foot by going to equestria. But it still happened, somehow, against his will, and now he will be stuck in a world that is not meant to house him with no obvious way of return.
He is cynical, angry, and depressed by this. He knows that being a human in a world like this is utterly pointless with earth ponies sporting much greater endurance and stamina them him, Pegasi being capable of flight and better reflexes, Unicorns being capable of magic of all types, Minotaur being taller, more robust and vastly physically stronger them him, Gryphons sporting natural weapons like razor sharp claws and beaks, and lets not even start about DRAGONS.
He is in the middle of it all, with nothing special or unique about him besides that bitch ass human body he was born with. Bloody perfect, from generic and samey to downright useless. It is clear that one lone human with no weapons what so ever is downright pathetic especially in world with sapient magical animals. Alone we are weak but together we are strong similar to an ant colony or a bees nest.
So get you bloody ideas of wanting to go to equestria out of your fucking heat. You do much worst to yourself then that, like blowing your fucking brains out or something. Also turning himself into a Pony is a big fat no too, he at least has SOME pride inside of him.
Concept number 3: Just playing a game (title for Human villain story I cam up with)

Concept number 4: Rome in Equestria (Or more like Caesar and his Legions from Gaul)
This concept was actually proposed to me via "Viva I Carabinieri" a guy here on fimfiction. He wanted me to write a fic about Rome, or at least a new Rome existing in Equis. The idea was that Caesar somehow gets killed during his campaigns in Gaul, but instead of travelling to the afterlife he gets confronted by MARS the roman god of War. He tells the successful general that he was watching him for quite some time and that he was fairly impressed with his battle prowess and over all courage ind war. Such talents should not be wasted in his opinion.
So he gives Caesar choice. Be reborn in another world with all of his troops accompanying him and re-build a new Roman empire, or continue on to the underworld and be forgotten like all dead do. The choice was clear, especially when Mars informs him that Rome will inevitably fall, regardless of his or the action of his predecessors, and that he and the rest of the gods will die with it as well. Overall Rome's future was dire with the only hope of preserving roman culture indefinitely was to start fresh in a brand new world.
After accepting the god of wars offer, Mars gives the young general a large portion of his divine power which in turn transformed Caesar into the FIRST pure Alicorn before sending him and his man, both dead and alive to the new world of Equis. You can all image how the story goes from here, and of course his troops are poniefied too, ranking from Hastai being earth ponies, the praetorians being unicorns, and the Velites being Pegasi. He wakes up, gets familiar with his new divine powers and begins a campaign of finding a suitable spot for a new Rome and eventually subjugating and Romenizing all of his neighbors and conquered nations and building up a new Roman Empire on this world, also becoming its new God Emperor in the process.
The story will start a couple of decades before the three tribes even unite which obviously gives them enough time to grow in size and population. Building a new Colosseum, enslave those that defy roman rule, all of that roman jazz we all know from history.
These are all the option available, hope you all like these ideas and maybe even feel free to comment as to which you want to see the most become a reality. Or use these concepts yourself.
I suggest nuber 4, I don't really see a lot of good long lasting Roman in Equestria stories
4 is the most interesting. 3 and 2 comes next, with 3 being a little more liked then two

I'm Italian so i will help in the story, if you chose it too, abaut Roman culture and more. If you will chose 4 i will make Sure you will learn things abaut Romans' culture, military ecc. That you would have newer known like why the Acients had 3 names and what each one of them means, how their Every day life works and what Being a "Civis romanus" (Roman citizen) really means. All you don't know abaut Romans i will try to answer. And when i said all i meaned it. I will be Nava's acient Romans' culture advisor and i swore here and now that if you chose Number 4 story i will give all i can to this project.

I'm rather interested in #4, would like to see how Celestia and Luna, when they come to unite the tribes, find another Alicorn, presumably as strong or stronger than them in one on one, enslaving the populace and creating a new empire. Would also be interested to see how Discord would play his part in the story. Although that's assuming the New Romane Empire doesn't fall before the three of them arrive.

I'd go for number 4, I think its the most interesting idea. Numbers 3 and 2 are in close second.
That being said I'd be interested in any of these concepts being further developed.

I'm leaning toward #3 but #4 is a close second to me.

Never seen a concept like # 1 before. The closest I've ever gotten would be in "Diaries of a Madman".
Oh my, hell yeah. I would love to see a pony vs pony civil war with battle tactics. (Though the first parts might be a bit dull, since they need to go through the initial shock period) But you are going to have to do some research and try to nail Cesear's characteristics and Battle Tactics. But a king cannot rule if there's no one to rule under, where will he get the peasants, nobles, and families? (Unless he's going to bring them with him too. And you also need to address the question "why", why is Mars doing this)
Well anything can happen. Like the gravity of equestria is much lower than earth. Humans aren't the fastest runners, but we have incredible stamina. We also have the advantage of vast technological knowledge that's un-exsistant in equestria. Like a crossbow or something related in the medical field. Yeah, we really can't do anything about magic. Unless we're able to nullify it because of how we're structured. Or maybe we produce something that's anti-magic that ponies don't have. Idk man, this is purely theoretical and unlikely. (then again there is the multiverse theory)
ooh, after reading number four I wish there was a fanfiction like Fate Stay Night that's ponified. Just imagining heroic spirits battling it out in pony form.

I think while it's clear that most people find number 4 more interesting as a concept, I personally would love to read a real-fic that takes heed of the density and diversity that a world of Equestria would offer and how it would effect a human and how a human would effect it.
Honestly this format would be fairly niche to read/write as it would be taxing to think out something like this and for it to be good (something that can be a feat of itself) as Humans specifically have the advantage of being durable and adaptive along with (depending on the character(s) intelligence) their capacity to create tools and advantageous situations on the fly as even on our little slice of hell we've managed to have at least semi-permanent residences almost everywhere, including goddamn space, which in itself says a lot of how incredible Humans are as a species in our ability to be so Socially, Physically, and Mentally diverse.
If someone did end up going all in on this behemoth project the most desirable roles for an easier story could be stories about a survivalist, mercenary for one of the more unknown/poorly fleshed out races mentioned in FiM (a human working as a diamond dog mercenary doing raids against Equestria frontier towns for example), or a human inventor/revolutionary in a 'progressive' city are a few I could come up with in a short amount of time.
Honestly I would love to write a story along this theme but I know I lack the literary skill and knowledge and the story seems incredibly daunting when looking at it and understanding what needs to go into the story to make it successful is something a bit beyond my current skill set.
I'd love to hear any opinions/modifications that would help give some extra depth to the concept as it's something I have some interest in now that it's been mentioned.

Well its seems that the massive majority wish to see concept 4 to be a thing...or maybe everyone is horny for the Romans for some reason. Probably has something to do with the fact that they invented the ORGY or whatever.
