Update for today 110817

"Protect the otakus' vulnerable eyes!"

So, next chapter is set, ready for the last proofread before publishing, but I went back to reread the story from the start and am having a moment of slight rage with myself. Many of the issues that I thought were long fixed are somehow there, unchanged. Horrific mistakes like syntax errors and missing punctuation. So, I am rereading it all to fix it. I'm not going to put off chapter releases, so the next one should be out sometime really soon when the first quarter of the story is done being safe-checked.I'm sure authors and readers out there would sympathize with me in that regard since the opening to a story can make or break one's impression of a work.

As an unintended consolation, the next couple of chapters will be a tad bit larger than what is normal.

An update for the extra tales spin off that will cover the time between chapters is getting more traction, especially with this rewrite. Hopefully, I get in a situation at work where I can write on my down time.

Quick question. Exactly which chapter had the scene where Psalm tells Skies that she's his sister? Because I know I've read it before, but now I can't find it for the life of me.

I've Ctrl+F'd "Psalm", "Nightingale", "sister", "brother", and "sibling" on the whole story, multiple times, but the part where Skies actually finds out who she is is just... missing.

I know it's in there too, I'm currently rereading the story to fix these god awful mistakes so when I find it i'll forward the section to you. If for some reason it's not, I'll fix that too.

I also brought this up a while ago in the story comments, because I know that I've read the scene before. So when I did my first reread of the story, and got to the part in chapter 32 where he said:

Skies sat next to a slightly alarmed Cadance and continued. "My fifth and final sibling's name is Psalm Nightingale. Fortunately, she seems untainted by whatever ails the other four."

At that moment I was like, "Hang on, there's something missing here... Wasn't there supposed to be a big, heartfelt reveal scene about that? Based on what he just said, that should've happened before this point in the story, right?" At which point I started going through the chapters again, wondering if I somehow missed it.

This was back towards the beginning of June, mind you, and it would seem I was correct in my assumption that it would bug me until I found it again.

Sometimes I hate being right...
