Watch_Dogs free on Uplay right now · 5:55pm Nov 7th, 2017

Just go figure out what the heck your Uplay login was, login, and there should be a banner near the top.

Not quite sure what the occasion is, but the offer lasts the week out.

I would love to but currently my download speed on Steam/uPlay (reinstalling Farcry 3) is somewhere in the realm of 60 - 500 KB/s.

By the time I'd finished installing it, the free week would be over.

No, no, not a trail week-end type free. This is add it to your account and its now yours type free. The offer lasts the week out, not the play-time.

Doesn't include the Season Pass stuff, though, 'just' the base-game, so guess that's where Ubisoft's hoping to earn a few bucks back.

Still, sorry about the confusion. Might have worded it a bit vaguely.

No, by the time I've finished installing Farcry 3.

My internet is literally that spotty at the moment, and I don't know why.

If it makes any difference I just had to click a box, and the game got added to my account.

No 'let's auto install!' malarkey, as you get on Origin and its On The House program.

Awesome, if only I didn't already have it. Then again, I always thought that when a company let a AAA game go free, they must've thought something was wrong with it. Too expensive to maintain servers and such.

To be fair, this is a AAA game with a reputation mixed enough it nearly sank its (to what I've heard) much better sequel, its got a couple of years old by now, and both the game's season pass and said sequel are currently on sale.

Given that the fiscal year is drawing to a close, I'm fairly sure this is some sort of attempt to make going forward with the franchise as a whole more appealing to the shareholders slash investors.

And, hey, if it means new, more varied stuff to play, and something free to try? I'm all for it.
