    Follow up to Bleh

    Modmyths asks:

Have you thought about starting up a Go Fund Me for it?

(It being my broken water line, just to be clear.)

The answer is no, I hadn't thought of that.

    But!

I went out and got more bids, and found a general contractor who could do the job for 3k.

    A Correction

It has come to the attention of management that a typographical error has occurred in chapter 13 of New Noses Know.

Specifically, the name of the thestral being interviewed by Garbanzo and Lima Bean. The story egregiously listed her name as Short Shift.

    Her name is Night Shift.

No Nose Update · 12:03am Nov 5th, 2017

So, for all of you who are wondering and asking when the next chapter of No Nose Knows will be unleashed, I have news.

Good news! Good news! Don't panic! I'm still writing away. In fact, the chapter is done and there's a good chance you will be reading this with the new chapter.

But one of the main reasons I started writing fanfics was to see where I needed to improve. I know I'm not the best of writers, but this seemed like a good way to get an idea of where I was lacking.

And some pretty fine folks have stepped up and helped me immensely. The fact that No Nose has over five thousand views now means I might have a little skill. :yay: The comments you all have offered have been helpful beyond words, and I hope they keep rolling in.

But a couple of awesome writers and artists have stepped up and, in what I am sure was a fit of insanity, offered to take on the task of editing my mess. I have been self-editing my stuff up to this point for the most part, and you can tell. I can't get better if I don't know where I'm screwing up at, so if those brave souls who volunteered to help me clean up my language don't kill me for using too many commas, I should bet better and No Nose will be an even better story.

So updates will be a bit more spread out as I let the editors work. I'll still push them out as quickly as possible but I want to give Sipioc, Georg, and Moon Fire a chance to look things over before I release something. Hopefully as time goes on they won't need to correct as many mistakes. :twilightsheepish:

Oh jeeze.

Commas, ... those things *which I use WAAYY too much* and my fav, --- which I always get mixed up with the ...

and I'm sure I speak for many on this but, *that ... just happened right there I swear it did* take your time. Its better to have a delay to something great to a rush to something meh.

I too know the pain of self editing. Grammar at times and commas are a problem for me. Take all the time you need to put otu a chapter. I know I for one can wait. Though I am very excited to see what comes next.

its even worse when making a game. Lord only knows I could use the same kinda help with making this monster.

And Thanks for the watch btw!

I've been having flashbacks to elementary school and a dreaded red pencil...*shudder*
:yay:

Great news! :pinkiegasp:
And hope you improve even more! :raritywink:
Kudos to Sipioc, Georg, and Moon Fire for stepping up to become editors. :pinkiehappy:

Like I said, a fit of insanity.

If you hear screaming in the distance, it's one of them trying to get though my slop:pinkiecrazy:

I have volunteered my grammar-Nazism for editing before. NEVER. AGAIN.

Even when you're 100% correct grammatically there's something you can ALWAYS do better.

I can't shut it off once it starts. Just ask my poor 7 paragraphs I've been editing for TWO YEARS.

That is some serious editing. :twilightoops:

The worst part is they're now so perfect I can't even follow up. It's like a singularity from which no plot progression can ever escape.

Do you plan to edit the existing chapters too, or only the new ones?

Ufff...good news :)

Perfection has a high cost it would seem. I shall keep a wary eye out for those event horizons...

I'll probably get them cleaned up too. I'm sure there has been a fair amount of cringing as people have read them.
