New Fillyfooling Story by AJ_Aficionado! · 12:43pm Nov 3rd, 2017
Or actually, a massive rewrite of an existing one. For followers of my adult works, if you enjoy high-quality clop and mare-on-mare action, you are invited to check out prereader AJ_Aficionado’s new release, Foolers Rush In, a story about flower ponies and fillyfooler bars, unrequited love and self-discovery, saving friends and saving the universe in roughly that order.
AJA has been a good friend and loyal prereader, to say nothing of an avid follower and contributor to my own works as well as specializing in longpost comments on my chapters, so please give him a look and some love. He put a lot of work in on this one and having edited it, I can vouch for it! He’s got some very good scenes and he takes the time to set them properly. The payoff comes in the last couple chapters and trust me, this is anything but a run-of-the-mill romance story!
I appreciate your efforts, but my morale is entirely shattered. For whatever reason no one wants to give me a chance anymore despite being much better at writing than I was. It's Siege all over again. I just can't help but write about characters no one else gives a crap about in settings that don't mirror some element of canon. People on this site don't give a damn about our headcanon unless it's attached to to a movie, episode, EG short, what have you. People want me to write some alternative ending to a well-known episode wherein I "fix" an oversight the original writers made. People want something easily digestible but somewhat different than what they've already seen. People want stories about ponies who exist in a meta-world where ponies write about ponies who write about ponies who write about ponies.
I can't do it bro. I can't give the people what they want, because I think all that stuff is trite and dull. I don't like EG. I don't like "fix fics". I hate all those popular fimfiction meta fics about ponies editing and drafting and poorly-writing clopfic, because it's not funny. It's boring. I write about Roseluck and company because I think they're fun. I write about background ponies because you can write whatever you want. People don't like that. I'm not writing about them anymore and wasting countless hours over fiction no one wants to read.
I should be happy I've gotten three reasonably successful fanfics out of the trio given the above-mentioned factors. It just seems like the better I get the less-popular my stories become. Regardless, I am happy for Nightmare Night getting featured. Maybe if I wrote more about the Mane Six instead of trying to get people to care about the Flower Trio I'd be more well known. Thank you for all the work you've done for me. I just need to find the strength to stop banging my head against the wall and find some better use of my time than trying to get featured again. This is such a waste of time.
