I'm still around, surprisingly. It's been busy, real life has gotten intense. I've played 4 shows since last Thursday,
and I have another gig this Thursday. That's where my time has gone, but as this year comes to a close I'll have more time for writing. I posted this on my page, but check this: the next chapter is over 10,000 words. It'll follow Rainbow Dash as somepony's previous warning comes to fruition.
But the real reason of this post is a song. This song (click me).
When I got stuck, not this time but the last time, I thought maybe composing music to my scenes would make me imagine what could happen next. But before I tried anything, I went back to give it a spin with one of my favorite scenes to write so far, the Hekkatron fight scene. I spent a long time on this song, and unfortunately never finished it, but I hope you guys enjoy it. Maybe put it on repeat and read the chapter again.
It starts with Bon Bon in her shop. You can hear Fluttershy interrupting her peace, and then the drums signal the arrival of the beast. The exotic foreign instrument is the sound of the bat ponies arriving, and it goes from there. I stopped before the Apple family got their just dues, but only because I felt like writing again. Maybe I'll finish it later. Maybe I'll go back and do a song for another chapter when I hit another brick wall. Let me know how you feel about it. Let me know how you feel about this weight.
