Among the pony things that Trixie is currently enjoying are the apps (and youtube videos of the apps) that are essentially abridged, read-along versions of a few episodes made by PlayDate. They read a story that's a super-simplified version of the episode, and then you can tap characters to show a bit of animation and dialogue from the scene.
It's a bit weird because they often (always?) use different VAs, and there are occasionally spots where the narration is so simplified that it doesn't exactly match up with the scene that's shown, but for the most part it's about what you'd expect of a picture book version of an episodes's plot.
...except for the Hearts and Hooves Day one, where the story being narrated appears to have been written by the CMC's defense attorney, while the scenes and animation are still directly from the show.
Some examples of the narration:
"The fillies wanted to plan a picnic, so Scootaloo found Apple Bloom's older brother Big Macintosh."
"Sweetie Belle thought Miss Cheerilee and Big Mac would become great friends on Hearts and Hooves Day! Hiding in a bush, the fillies waited for Miss Cheerilee to ask Big Mac to be her friend. But she didn't!"
"The fillies decided to mix up a friendship potion and have Miss Cheerilee and Big Mac try it. Sweetie Belle thought the potion might make Big Mac less shy and better at making friends with Miss Cheerilee."
"Miss Cheerilee and Big Mac swallowed the potion and started acting very strangely. The fillies started to realize they had made a big mistake!"
"Back at the club house, the young ponies tried to figure out what went wrong. Reading from the book, they discovered they had brewed a love potion, not a friendship potion!"
"The fillies apologized for causing trouble and for trying to make Big Mac and Miss Cheerilee best friends."
Then we somehow get to this... interesting moral...
"The fillies learned that it was wrong to think that Hearts and Hooves Day is about having one special friend. They learned that Hearts and Hooves Day is really a celebration of friendship and caring for one another."
So yeah, every time this one ends, I can't help seeing it pan back on Applejack's skeptical face as Apple Bloom looks up from a scroll and says "...and that's our official statement regardin' the events in question. If y'all have any further questions on the matter, you can contact our lawyer."
if you're curious, you can check it out on youtube.
'That's my story and I'm sticking to it, like tree sap to a pony ear!- Apple Bloom
They wanted them to be best friends.

Just like Lyra and Bon Bon.
"My clients have no further comment on the alleged incident in question at this time."
"Whatever they're payin' ya, Pip, I'll double it."
"Two snickerdoodles? They're all guilty, sure as Luna is best princess!"
And he was a good friend
The overtones of Ayn Rand's "Anthem" and the Transgression of Preference are palpable here.
...because, um, OBVIOUSLY. Sure, they can set up a giant slingshot capable of propelling Scootaloo into the lower atmosphere, but a picnic? All by themselves? Let's get real, here.
Uuuuuuuhhhhhhhhh...
Edit: ...hhhhhhhhuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhh...
What I'm really raising my eyebrow at is that their mistake in this version is that they made a love potion as opposed to a friendship potion. Is this children's storybook trying to demonize love?

Stop touching Ayn Rand's knee.
Just because she's dead and it's Halloween is no excuse.
