It has been a while..... But I have returned now. The last few weeks have been very exciting.
I have spent a total of ten days pretty much in cinema to watch the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Movie over and over again, a total number of eleven times (look at the counter on my userpage!).
I have seen all the screenings of its original version it got here in Austria, minus one special brony screening that "Bronies Austria" had negotiated with another cinema, which I did not attend, because it was the day of a new episode and the screening started right when the episode was over.
Interestingly, these two cinemas were the only ones that showed the movie in the original english version, in ALL OF AUSTRIA. I have never been more glad that I moved to Vienna almost five years ago, from the backwater town I came from.
And I spent a ton of money for it. 111,70€ alone for snacks that I had during all my booked screenings of the original version (I got free popcorn and a free drink for the one time I watched the german version because of a voucher I had). Plus more money for food I ate in restaurants before watching the movie and, of course, the movie tickets.
Here's the stack of empty packaging I amassed with all the snacks I had (not pictured are a bag of Nic Nacs, the free popcorn and the free drink, because I was dumb and threw them away, carelessly):
My estimation is that I easily spent at least 230€ for everything; tickets, snacks and other food. I'm also glad that I'm crazy and dedicated enough to have been willing to spend all this money on the movie and my cinema visits for it to make it the best experience ever.^^ 
I also got some nice souvenirs for the movie, a tinbox with Twilight on it and a mini version of the german movie poster that was part of a booklet that you could grab for free:
There were more tinboxes with the rest of the Mane Six as well, but each had a price of 10€, so I had to pass up on them in favor of being able to afford the movie tickets, making Twilight the only one I got.
The cinema also had beautiful cardboards to advertise the movie with, which I would love to take with me once they aren't needed anymore, but the cinema staff shot me down on that and I could never find out where the cinema puts their trash to save them out of it.....

I also wrote a very lengthy review of the movie, for general audiences, not the fandom, which I spread on Rotten Tomatoes, IMDB and Metacritic. As well as on several german movie and cinema sites and under the german DVD listing on Amazon after translating it.
And I read all of the reviews myself (critics and audience), on all three of the big movie review sites and contributed a few details for the movie to its IMDB page.
The ratings the movie got with the big critics are horrible and I'm shocked over how much bias I found there, with almost every reviewer trashing the movie without having paid any real attention to it. But I also saw the overwhelming audience scores and the generally positive reviews it got by people who actually went into the cinema to see it, so the movie got proper credit there and most people love it, which is the important thing in the end.

Leaving the cinema after my last screening on October 18th was a somber experience..... I waited almost five years for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic to get a well-deserved cinema movie. It finally happened this year and leaving the cinema after my last screening with the knowledge that I will never, ever see the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Movie in cinemas again was a hard thing to choke down..... I legitimately had a lump in my throat on that day.
But I do not want to make this too dramatic..... This year had enough drama for me. So, with me being back from my cinema hibernation, it is now time to get back to writing!
I just sat here and made my plans for this week and then the rest of November, which I will detail now:
- I will get back to writing "The Strange Case of Dinky Hooves' Cutie Mark Curiosity" this week. The goal is to write one chapter on Thursday and Friday, which will then get released on Saturday. Then, on the weekend, I will finally sit down and push through writing the last four chapters, to wrap the fic up. This should have happened many months ago already, but now, it finally will.
Each of the pre-written chapters will then see a Saturday release as well.
- Beginning with next week, I will continue revising the first two chapters of "Journeys and Destinations: A Friendship for Eternity". I want to pick up my pace there because, as so many things did in this mostly horrible year, this project is progressing much too slowly, so I will add two days of the week to work on this.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday will be the days I am working on the revision, starting with November 6th.
- Aside from this, I have two fics in the planning stage..... One is my fic about Brown Sugar I talked about here, the other one will be a fic about Tempest Shadow. One of which is a one-shot, the other one a multi-chapter epic. I have yet to figure out which of the two I will write first. I will work on these two fics on the weekends, each Saturday and each Sunday, starting with November 11th.
Overall, I felt a lot of writing drive and passion return lately, as my depressions recede back into the darkness they came from. It's still a bit wonky in that department, with the occasional depressed thought washing over my mind, but it gets better each day.
So, this basically means I'll be back in full writing force this week. The second half of this year has not seen much writing by me and even in the first half, I did not write as much as I had planned to write, thanks to a drama-filled year for me.
I still hope to turn this around somewhat in the last two months, by starting at least one big writing project and making noticeable progress with it and by easing back into my usual schedule. Hopefully, I can bring this year at least to a good end writing-wise.
I will also participate in the NaPoWriMo again this year, with "The Strange Case of Dinky Hooves' Cutie Mark Curiosity". I also asked if I can get the fics for Brown Sugar and Tempest Shadow in, too, by updating my registration information later, since I don't know yet if I can write them this month and also not how long they are going to be. If it works out, I will participate with these fics too.
That's it, I guess. I'm back and writing will soon continue in full swing on Thursday. Until then, excuse me, I have Nightmare Night festivities to attend.
