Key word here is POTENTIAL. Currently my personal favorite is Luna due to how cute and social she is. Not only that, but very open to trying a variety of new experiences. Plus the fact that I enjoy staying up late and enjoy the late would help a lot as well I am sure. I am sure other people would argue that Celestia or Book Horse is Best Waifu and that is fine.
Now as to Discord...he has what I would say Near Unlimited Waifu Potential.
#1 Discord can transform into anyone he wants, so you can go on a date from Changeling Queen, Alicorn, Earth Pony, Sea Pony, Griffin, Dragon, and more!
#1A Discord can transform into any shape, meaning he should be able to transform into any COMBINATION of Waifu. You want a Half-Dragon Half-Pony Waifu? Discord can BE that Waifu.
#2 Discord can take you to anywhere in time for a date, as shown in the Comics when he took the CMC back in time.
#3 Discord can take you anywhere on the planet and probably even other dimensions.
Therefore it is my belief that Discord, if he was so willing, would have Ultimate Waifu Potential

Discord would make for best Kohai OR Senpai. It literally doesn't matter since Discord can pretty much do it all. An since he has crazy godlike powers, he'd make for an AMAZING Sub or Dom.
