    Reaction Story Ideas

Hello everybronie, it is I, Posh, actor, writer, philosopher, creator of the hit series “Big Octopi in Little Delphi,” inventor, writer, occasional male escort, deposed vice-regent of Luxembourg, writer, actor, critic, writer, and overall tall drink of water. I’m here today to discuss a new trend I’ve seen in the MLP fan fiction community: Reaction stories.

    What is a reaction story?

    Chapter Eight is Live

The real chapter eight. What was originally labeled as chapter eight, “Pasta al Forno,” was an April Fool’s joke that sprang from a ficlet Dubs wrote me for Jesus Day. The chapter titles and order have been rearranged to reflect this.

The Pros and Cons of Giving a Damn

"I'm not looking for pity. I'm trying to make a point. Girls like us can't rely on anyone, can't get attached to anyone. You just set yourself up to get hurt down the line when they're gone.

"’Cuz they're always gone, in the end."

    Donations Page: For Billy Kametz

    Billy Kametz has passed away.

For those of you who don’t know who that is, he is Ferdinand von Aegir. For those of you who don’t know who that is, first of all, shame on you. Second, he was also someone named Jotaro. In English.

Or Josuke. I don’t watch that show. He was someone named Jojo; I don’t know which one.

Posh's Story Reviews: Folio The Second - Part Two - A Mire From Which There Can Be No Exodus

Awoooo, awaaaaa, amooooooooo. I’ve finished communing with the Elder Spirits, those phantom deities which lend me their neurons to write these glorious literary critiques. They’ve guided me to two more stories, to add onto my previous blog. In exchange, they are slowly siphoning my lymphatic fluids for their own purposes (I think they carbonate it and use it as a mixer in cocktails).

Sunburst goes to Ponyville and steals all of Glimmy's waifus.

Like, that's basically what happens. I'm pretty sure this episode launched at least one new ship. All aboard the S.S. Giant Fucking Nerds.

Just look at those memefaces. They're practically made for each other.

Good Glimmer episode is good, all told. I loved the performances, and the interactions between Sunburst and all of Starlight's friends (also, how telling is it that she doesn't think about the rest of the Mane Six when she's considering how Sunburst relates to her friends? I think this episode kinda cements the idea that Starlight and Twilight keep different, if somewhat overlapping, cliques). Guest star Sunburst felt like a natural fit for the episode, and I couldn't really think of anything that felt forced or awkward.

If I did have to criticize, I'd say that I wish the resolution had been a bit more creative, and that there could have been a stronger emotional catharsis for Starlight and Sunburst. And I think it kinda treads on older ground, seeing as there was a CMC episode from last season that did something similar, but the characters and their dynamics/interplay made it feel like a fresh iteration.

But it was a good episode all around, with a good moral.

Also, Glimmer, what was going through your mind when you made this face...?

No one will ever look at you the way that Starlight Glimmer looks at Trixie.

For the time being, at least, it makes sense. Starlight has not shared years of epic (and mundane) life experiences with the rest of the Mane Six like Twilight has. They’ll always be there for her (it’s kinda, ya know, what they do now), but Starlight has made it her business to call the strays, and it is with them that she is coming into her own.

1v1 me, Posh! Internet fight, right here, right now!

"That was a lot of fun, Starlight." Sunburst could not keep from smiling, and had no reason to. "Seven games of Dragon Pit with you and your friends. I've never felt younger."

Starlight held open the door to his room in the castle and returned his smile with interest. "Good! I'm glad you had fun. I've just got one more game I want to play before bedtime."

"Another game?" asked Sunburst. "Isn't it a little late?"

"Nonsense," scoffed Starlight. "After all, it's been years since we've been together. Just one more game? Please?"

"Well..." Sunburst looked into Starlight's eager eyes and felt his willpower crumble. "It depends. What game did you want to play."

"Doctor!" declared Starlight, closing the door behind them.

and then she pulls out the scalpel

All aboard the S.S. Giant F:yay:g Nerds.

Can we do this, or is this fated to end as badly as Flash Sentry did? Or did Flash Sentry take the bullet for everyone else who might dare come after?
