A good story displays a moral, the best ones attach you to the characters who display them.

New Chapter Out, and New Cover!

Background shamelessly stolen from an actual SoT book
I'd recommend giving that one a read!

    Featured?!

Y'know for a moment there I was scared I'd lost my touch when it came to writing after I took those years on hiatus... this is a really encouraging sign.

Thank you all so much for showing me I've still got it! It's reassuring, and more than a little flattering. Don't think I've really processed it yet, since I basically just woke up.

    Good to be Back

I won't promise that I'll be able to return to my old projects immediately, or even at all. But I did mean it when I said I was coming back! I've spent too long not doing anything about my passion for writing, and that needs to change. :twilightblush:

So, in I come with a brand new story to tell! Please, come and tell me what you think of the beginning to the Coves of Courage!

    The Old Bones Creak

The pegasus' eyes fluttered open blearily. How long had it been since they closed? Weeks? Months? His coat felt uneven and unkempt, his mane was longer than he remembered, and thick with tangles he could feel without even moving yet. When his eyes adjusted to the low light around him, the dusk seeping in through a boarded up window; everything he had known was coated in moss and lichen. Vines

Reorganizing Priorities, Explanations on Missing Projects. · 4:30pm Oct 19th, 2017

Okay, I'm just going to be blunt here: Siege of Helm's Pink will most likely be left on Hiatus for quite a while, along with Empire of the Crystal Skull. I have full intentions of eventually completing the latter, and the former I'm undecided on.

Hearth's Warming Shenanigans is also on Hiatus, since the updates are Christmas-themed. (That doesn't really mean I'll only be updating once a year, because that would be unspeakably cruel of me.)

A long time ago, I requested a cover for a story I was incredibly excited to tell: A Dragon's Hoard. The artist followed through with amazing results, and I was in my peak of inspiration! Then I spilled milk on my Samsung, and killed her, erasing any chances of accessing all the hard work I had saved on that laptop, including plans for A Faint Hope: the Series, Wartime Continuum Phase II, and several other, smaller stories I wanted to tell. (Owl and the Phoenix, Hearth's Warming Shenanigans, etc..)

Most tragically, I lost A Dragon's Hoard.

After months of working on newer projects on a tiny phone with an unreliable keypad, I've decided to suck it up, and get back to work on this story. I'm determined to show off my true skills as a adventure/AU/drama author with this, the longest fic yet.

Sunrisers, I'm going to be presenting you with a project I never intended to let die.

Huge thanks to Jolliapplegirl for the cover

You said you spilled milk on your Samsung so is it fixed now?

4702455
Yeah.
Sadly, Sam is unfixable.

It takes a lot of will to not just cry over spilled milk when said milk ruins countless days of work. I admire you friend, I would have bene griped in despair if that happened to me. Write on.

Yikes.... losing all that work....You should save that stuff on a backup drive or USB next time. Or take it to Frys, if they have one near you. They can (sometimes) get stuff off the computer (like, data, stuff you'd saved, etc).

Reminds me of when I wrote my second story and had to start from the beginning 4 or so times because it kept getting erased. Not fun.

Oh, and when/if you get a new computer? Don't get a Samsung. :ajbemused:

Why not a Samsung? Our Dells are unreliable at best, and I despise Apple computers because they're so damn confusing. Any other brands you'd recommend, assuming we'll somehow be able to sponge enough money to get a new one within the next three years?

4702991 Because Samsung is run by inconsiderate greedy jerks who only care about money and not employees. i'd rather tell the details through a pm than a public comment, but trust me. It is of course your ultimate choice, but they're not worth supporting.

i have an HP/Windows computer; i'd recommend something like that.
