My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic - Season 7 Episode 23: "Secrets and Pies" (SPOILERS) · 4:01pm Oct 14th, 2017
In which Pinkie Pie has a relapse of "Party of One" and Rainbow tries to flake her way out of being crusty about Pinkie's pies.
We open with Pinkie being neurotic about random celebrations of non-events. Also, her very Pinkie Pie baking process, which both confuses and amuses Twilight.
Pinkie delivers a celebratory pie to Rainbow Dash, who acts shifty about it and then, seemingly, throws the mostly-untouched pie away. This sends Pinkie off on a neurotic Lesson Zero fit where she tries to figure out why Rainbow Dash would throw away her pie, working herself into a lather where she goes completely Party of One over the whole thing. She interrogates the Wonderbolts, the vet, and other ponies who may be connected to the "uneaten pies case".
Pinkie's investigations reveal that Rainbow Dash hasn't eaten a single one of the pies she's baked for her over the years, choosing instead to give them away to random ponies, animals, and so forth. The revelation that Rainbow Dash apparently doesn't like pie and has been lying to Pinkie all this time drives her to drama.
Best part of this episode is Pinkie's "Nightmare Dash" imagine spot.
Pinkie decides to trap Rainbow Dash into admitting the truth by inundating her with pies until she breaks. Rainbow's frankly jerkass behavior during the whole thing causes the whole mess to escalate completely out of control, until it culminates in a very public scene where Pinkie calls Rainbow out for being a pie-hater and Rainbow tries to flake her way out of being crusty about Pinkie's pies.
After their fight, Rainbow decides the best way to make up with Pinkie is to make a pie for Pinkie. Sort of. It's a massive stinky-pile pie that she intends to eat "for friendship" as an apology.
Pinkie realizes that Rainbow Dash never intended to hurt her feelings, and they make up and are friends again.
Hmm. I'll give this one an 8/10 just for the rainbow laser eyes.
Painbow Slash was amazing. When I first saw her, I didn't believe she was actually part of the episode.
Still, it's a shame Soarin' didn't get a single line in an episode about his favorite pastry.
I really think that pony expressions have been getting better, more complex, as the seasons go on. Rarity had some great ones in her freak-out episode, and Pinkie has some equally fun ones in this episode. The way she licks her eyes to keep from blinking, and then loses it when she blinks anyway and realizes that Dash used that microsecond to ditch the pie? Had me rolling, that did.

The comic is more like a follow up to the episode.
Considering that apparently, one of the comics spoiled the plot to this on page 1, I'm really glad I don't read them. Avoiding spoilers is difficult as is. Already been spoiled on the name of one of the characters from the Movie as well as one of the VAs in it.

Apparently it's because this episode was meant to air earlier but got swapped around and at that point it was too late for IDW to change anything.
Cake Destroyer Dash could have been a boss in Banjo Kazooie even her theme was catchy
This is one of the funniest episodes of the season.
The laser eyes scene is definitely the best.
This one had me laughing all the while. The comedy and delivery of the lines was amazing.
Seriously tho, Dash needs to Wash.

I don't know what it is but the way Rainbow bullshits Pinkie constantly cracks me up. This was one of my favorite Pinkie episodes in the series.
