The Worst of All Possible Worlds (Update)

There's no easy way to say this, so I'm going to come out and say it...

If you haven't read TWoAPW recently, or it's been a while, (especially since there hasn't been an update in months, and months before that update as well), then I have bad news.

You should probably go back and read it to get refreshed. Otherwise, you're going to be really confused when the next updates come.

    SO UNACCEPTABLE

It's three in the morning here and I'm about two months late to the matter at hand, but I have never been more inclined to bash FiM than I have right now. I stopped watching during season six, the season five finale just wrapped the show up so well for me, and I really disliked the season six finale.

However, I was browsing Derpi and randomly came across a tag, and then a set of images.

    Better Writing

Huzzah! Now that I've got a job, I decided to invest in Grammarly Premium. That means a better quality of writing and fewer mistakes. It also means less passive voice, which is my biggest freaking weakness in the world. At least this job, as annoying and painful as it is, proves to improve my existence and my writing, which is far more important.

    New Story: Gods

Boy howdy have I not made a blog post in a while. Shame that this is only promoting a new story of mine, but I suppose that's fine.

    Being Fired

Today I was let go of my position as IT and Webmaster for my work. You'd think that'd be upsetting, and it is, but not to the extent other people would be upset. IT is a very easy job when you have the know how to do it, and while getting a job may be difficult without certification or a college degree, it's not as difficult as it was five years ago.

I had actually debated on quitting a few weeks ago due to how I was being treated and today is when I figured out the reasoning behind being treated so poorly. My job was being split up to part time and contract work, meaning they won't have a full time IT. There's many people there that I like and will continue to be on good terms with, however this is the push I was looking for. I wasn't actually going to quit, as much as I wanted to, and now I don't have to. I get to be a bigger man because I don't have to toss out all my complaints and reasons for leaving.

Here comes the hardest part, though. Having to search for a job and maintain good appearances for interviews. It's the whole reason I hated looking for a job in the first place. Getting settled in to a new job, that's fun and exciting, but taking the time to speak with a new employer, that's rough. Even for someone as outgoing as I am.

So, while I sit on severance pay and unemployment money, wondering who my next employer will be, I have to wonder why I even bother continuing in the field that I am. I know why, I have experience and skill in the IT world. But it's not what I want to do. Perhaps after finding a job and settling in I'll look into getting some formal education in the terms of writing and editing. I'd like to turn this into a career rather than just a hobby, even if that career is writing for someone else.

We'll see how the road is soon enough, perhaps it will be bumpy, perhaps it will be smooth.

I'll continue to write on this little pony website for a while, even if my life takes a terrible turn. Only thing that can stop me is death.
