Why do people still hate Starlight?

Everywhere I go on Social media I see some people complaining about Starlight but they can't seem to give the reason they hate her, so maybe some of you could answer this question, I just don't get how she could be hated, she's so adorable.

It’s more the writers for shoehorning her in and her solving all the problems. I don’t hate HER, I hate how she is being written.

Yeah, it's people not liking how she's being put in to solve seemingly every problem, (Plus, the way she was redeemed and her backstory doesn't help matters either) which isn't true by the way. It's like with Wesley Crusher of Star Trek TNG, people say he saved the day I don't know how many times despite him being a kid, but he actually saved the day about four times, at most and did cause a few problems at times as well.

Let me put it this way. Given what she has done in a lot of her episodes, if she existed in the real world, she would be in a mental institution.

Since her REFORMATION she has taken control of her friend's minds with not a single care in the world for how they'd feel about the situation, led a very dangerous creature that she KNOWS is dangerous to the changeling hive, and has switched the rulers of the land's cutie marks (Also don't tell me it was an accident. She seemed to know what the spell did too well enough for it to be.) And before all this she imprisoned the six heroes of the land and killed Equestria a few times over with her time travel spell (She's messing with the past of a fucking alicorn princess. So either she's an idiot for thinking everything in Equestria would be fine after that, or she did know and just didn't give a shit, and the latter is more supported since even after seeing what her doing would result in, she still wanted to go through with it.)

She's not punished for any of these by the way. And for some reason this character is written as the one with common sense while the others are either flanderized or useless in episodes where she's especially important, even though it's been established that she's a complete lunatic.

Sorry for the mini-rant, I just reaaaaally hate her. To the point where I think the series would be legit better if she didn't exist.

Edit: And addressing the time travel thing. The biggest argument I see for this is "Oh it was in her past let it go" To that I say there are certain things people are willing to forgive a character for. Destroying the world several times is not one of them. Like, Starlight can save ponies several more times from here on out and she'd still be scum.

It's more how she's written, as others have pointed out. The character has been handled poorly, at least in her focus episodes. She seems to be improving somewhat in her non-focus episodes.

She forced an entire fillage into her way of thinking all because her best friend got his cute Mark and went onto Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorn's. As if that wasn't bad enough, then she doomed all of Equestria just to get her petty revenge, and then she is instantly forgiven and allowed to become Twilight's pupil despite the fact she's done nothing to earn such a title and should have been chragrd and tried for crimes against Equestria and given a life sentence in Tartarus. Throughout season six and onward, she has done nothing to show that she's learned from her experience as Twilight's pupil, as shown in episodes like "Every Little Thing She Does" and "A Royal Problem." I would say that the only good she's done is make Trixie a better pony, but she does nothing but enable Trixie's negative trsita instead of her good ones. She's also bad about stealing the spotlight. Episodes like "A Royal Problem" and "To Change a Changeling" should have had Twilight and Spike, respectively, should have had them in the spotlight instead of Starlight. Then they go and have her added to the cast of Equestria Girls. Yeah, I'd say there's plenty of reason to hate her.

After reading this I now understand why people hate her but I'm not one of them. Obviously I'm getting a bit ahead of my self since I haven't seen her yet, but I think she's cute and all these 'reasons' to hate her have given me some interesting ideas for some stories.
