Celebrating Seven Years of Ponywuv! · 1:00am Oct 11th, 2017
Celebrating seven years of ponywuv (five for me), with special mention to my dear eldest daughter. If it hadn't been for her completely and utterly random desire to obtain 'a coloring book with a purple unicorn on it' one day in 2012 when she was three, we would never have gone to Target and I would never have grabbed that fated volume with Twilight Sparkle and Spike on the front. What's this? My Little Pony? Eh, okay sure whatever, here's a coloring book with a purple unicorn on it.
You see, I was into a great many things in the 1980s, and though I knew of ponies, they were not among them. How little I knew.
I still have that very coloring book, though it is battered and largely forgotten by the children now. They asked my why I still have it, and I know it is so I will never forget the day. From ponies I learned that though I was wealthy in love and familial affection, I was indeed impoverished in the magic of friendship. That is a term I take to heart, and a fine lesson a few colorful horses taught me to embrace. I have a a boatload of new friends and a brand new way to express writing, my favorite of pastimes. For what more could I have asked?
Friendship is Magic, filles and gentlecolts. The next time some nag out there tries your patience, remember this day, and pay that lesson forward.
Many more!
I leave you with one of my new favorite tunes, which I daresay might just be right up there with The Touch~
Am I the only one who thinks of Don Bluth when I see the animation from the MLP movie?

I wouldn't have made that connection on my own, but I see what you're saying in the movements of the characters. Who are still adorable~
