    Sparks Catch Complete

Sparks Catch was supposed to be a interquel- a short episode sitting between Myriad Thoughts and Friendship Games.

Instead, it ended up nearly fifty percent longer than Myriad Thoughts, and established many, many ideas I want to carry forward. So, moving on from here- what do we want to do next?

    Side Stories: and Esmerelda Smith

Hello, semi-loyal readers! I've finally released the first part of my story about everyone's favorite awesome Granny.

Go ahead and take a look. The story in question will be an anthology of all of the little ideas I've had while working on the Myriadverse, so expect it to update on occasion, but with fairly short snippets.

    A Train Bound for Nowhere

...I was planning on using this blog post to explain that I'd posted a short story one-shot called "A Train Bound for Nowhere." I assumed that it would clue my semi-loyal reader base into he fact I'd actually posted something that wasn't part of a multi-chapter novel.

Instead, my short story got featured. It's currently sitting at #4 on the featured list.

Let Me Tell You A Story...

Once, long ago, there was a young college student who roamed the internet freely. They avoided the worst parts of the web, but had a certain fondness for TV Tropes.

One day, while wandering, the student found his way into the "fan fiction" section of TV tropes. From there, scornful eyes gazed over the various lemon fics and strange foulness which pervaded the halls of fan works.

    Sparks Catch Published

Someone mentioned that I should have announced when the sequel to Myriad Thoughts was posted. Well, it is, and has been for the last few weeks.

On Myriad Thoughts and Other Stories · 6:48pm Oct 8th, 2017

Myriad Thoughts is done. When I jotted down the first 500 words three months ago, I expected nothing to come of them. I knew myself well enough, however, to know the idea would lay forgotten if I didn't write it down.

One month ago, while idly glancing over my profile, I realized I had another idea on the abandoned tale. And then a second. And a third. Synthesis of elements form other stories, aspects and random thoughts accumulated until the first four chapter wrote themselves.

I published, expecting little- and was met with applause. Than you all for your support.

Now the real question arises- what comes next?

Below are four story ideas I'd like to develop further. Any suggestions or input are welcome- though I reserve the right to make the final decision. Please let me know what sounds interesting- I'll work on it from there.

Standalone Works:

A Princess for the City
Writing this particular story has been far more difficult than I'd like. Trying to emulate Pratchett's brilliance is draining, and referencing outside material to stay accurate to the vast and wonderful world of Discworld is time consuming. Still, this story could be so great- I have no desire to abandon it.

Followups to Myriad Thoughts:

Sparks Catch
At the end of Myriad thoughts, we see the results of Sunset's deeper bonding with her friends. What will this mean for magic int he human world? and what will this mean for Sunset?

The Woman who Would be Esmerelda Smith
Granny Smith entertains an unusual caller, who questions her extensively about her past. As the truth unfolds, we learn more of the history of the Apple family- and what family means to its now-venerable matriarch.

Old Songs and Silence
The Dazzlings seem to be straightforward villains; causing chaos, unrepentant about what they've done, and wiling to admit to heinous crimes. Yet, their history is relatively unknown. As they interact with the humane six, old truths will be revealed, and the songs they sung in ages past- as both sirens and humans- will be revealed.

Edit: Does anyone know anyone I could commission a page image from? I have an idea of what I want, but I can't find any proper imagery for Myriad Thoughts.

Sparks Catch and The Woman who Would be Esmerelda Smith both sound like they'd be interesting follow-ups.

I'd love to read Granny Smith's backstory.

I must say I'm interested in Sparks Catch and Old Songs and Silence.
