Status Update

It's been nearly a year since all three of my non-rewrite stories have received an update. Words cannot express how annoying this is for me, but I understand there's not much I could do about it with my old job. So I'm here to give you all an update. All three are in progress, but I've got something else I'm working on for Apprentice's five-year anniversary as well, which I'll go into later.

For Worlds, I'm 7k words in of a chapter that is looking longer and longer with each passing day. There is so much I want to get done, so much set-up I want to do, but I need it to end at the same place. However, progress over the last several days has been quick. I've hit the part of the story (and this chapter) that is making writing easier because I've been working to get this far for the last four years.

For Forces of Darkness, Imma be real with you guys, I have no idea what to do about this story. I know where I want it to go, but as with Worlds, I don't really want to be in the early writing. I want to be in the late-story writing, because that's where all the fun stuff is. Still, I'm doing what I can. It haws been on the back-burner compared to Starbound and Worlds and obviously Apprentice's rewrite, but I have been working with it. It's only 1.3k words in, but most of that was written within the last week.

For Starbound, also gonna be real, I'm struggling with the Bone Dragon fight. I want to make it something akin to an actual boss fight, with no anticlimax like I did with the Giant Jelly Monster (still can't believe Jack and Twilight had to fight it). Once I make it past that, I don't think I'll have too much of a problem because I have a clear path on where I want to go from there.

Not having time because of an awful job sucks, but I'm in a better place. I've been toying with the idea of setting aside an hour each day specifically just to write. It could be MLP, Zelda, anything! I need to get back in the habit and I need to get those creative juices flowing again now that I have six hours after work each day plus weekends.

Now, for Apprentice I've been writing these (self-indulgent) essays I'm sure some of you have read skimmed seen noticed. I've got one more, centered around Envy coming up, but the big thing is that for the 5th Anniversary in November, I want to release a new chapter. A completely new chapter, an interlude with fun little character shorts, and it;s roughly 1/3 of the way done. I'm also aiming to make Worlds the next chapter to come out after. Heck, I'm not going to be working on the Chapter 9 rewrite of Apprentice for some time so I can make sure these new chapters get done.

Anyway, just giving you guys an update. I saw the movie last night, and it's really good! Lived up to all my expectations.
